I would definitely not recommend this. As I received no more than 2.5 minutes of narration. It took 5 times as long to figure out how to get the audio. Waste of money. It’s a short, easy walk and doesn’t need any narration anyway.

They should have gotten a professional voice actor to do the narration; the performance was pretty cringeworthy. Also surprisingly short. Can’t say it was worth even six bucks.

I love this audio tour of the Eastern Promenade. I have always enjoyed walking around the “Prom” as the locals call it. The beauty of the islands, boats & beautiful homes all while the smells of the sea envelope you. But the stories, history, and memories the audio tour offers took it to another level for me. I had stood in front of and admired the mast of the USS Portland but never knew about the plaque of the The Artic Campaign on the lower side until the tour directed me there. I love the stories added by local Michael Connolly along the way. I can just imagine what it was like to grow up so close to this beautiful “playground”. The Narrow Gauge Railroad is a tourist attraction of it’s own, you can take a sunset ride on Saturday evenings! I love that the tour introduces the railroad to people from afar who may have missed it. There’s so much to see along this tour. The narrator does an excellent job of combining history, stories from a local, beautiful scenery and even birdwatching. It’s beautiful!

Couldn't get to a point where audio tour would work. Even with help of visitors center. Never got use. Waste of money and hours

Eastern Promenade is a walkway around the tip of the peninsula. The narrative was REALLY uninformative - nothing about the history or the present of the mansions or the remnants of the pier or anything else at that. It was about personal experiences of a boy growing up in the area - wow! Smashing!

I find the audio tour enhances what I saw - really enjoyed the tour and learn some history at the same time. As a side note, it took me a while to figure out how things work - once I did, all went well.😀
