This is where we first catch a glimpse of the Rannoch Moor, which is covered in heather, lochans and peatbogs. You will also enjoy stunning views of the Black Mount and the Buachaille Etive Mor. We then travel through Scotland’s most famous valley, Glencoe. Feel history come alive when we tell the tales of the massacre of the Macdonald clan, which took place in 1692.

The places he took us were wonderful. James is such a nice man and told us many funny and great stories. He truly is a great tour guide, if I come back to Scotland I will definitely try to rebook. Thank you so much for brightening our day and making our experience so memorable.

Some of the best time I had with my family. The places we visited were very beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

We have toured with James 6 times. He has given us bespoke tours based on places we wanted to explore. He knows so much of the history of Scotland and he shares that knowledge on every highway, road and street. From castles to ruins; from mountains to beaches, from seas to lochs, from city to small village; he finds interesting and beautiful places to experience because you don't just see the beauty, he allows you to feel it and to breathe it all in before taking you to another area. I cant thank him enough for showing us Bonnie Alba through his eyes. He is friendly, fun and kind.

Wow, we knew we were getting a real “Alba” experience, when James showed up in kilt and authentic Scottish attire! James was very accommodating and taught us many things along our drive. We learned about the Scottish Highlands; the history, the tragic past, as well as about the native animals and plants. I especially loved meeting and feeding the Highland Coo! So very cute! Along our drive, we passed by many woolly sheep and beautiful flowers draped along the green rolling hillside. The many lochs with the “dragon’s breath” clouds drifting above, were majestic! We stopped at Loch Lubnaig to enjoy a dram of Scottish Whiskey along the banks. There, we learned about tartans and how to wear a Scottish kilt. It was fun learning about the traditions and culture! I really enjoyed the many castles on our tour. We saw Castle Stalker, a 1300’s tower home, surrounded by a moat; St. Conan’s Kirk, 1800’s; Kilchurn Castle; and Inverary Castle, just to make a few. I highly recommend this tour if you want the true Alba experience. James was fantastic!

My mum and I are from Australia and had a short time in Scotland so we decided to go on the hunt for a tour. We wanted to see a lot in a little amount of time so we chose the one day trip with James at Alba Experiences. Not a single regret and worth every minute and every $$ It was just mum, myself and James and we really got to experience Scotland in depth due to James and his knowledge and passion for his homeland. We had never ending information and so much history, there wasn't a question he couldn't answer and it was the highlight of our trip. We booked direct through the Alba Experience website. We both 100% recommend this or any other tour with James and I would not hesitate to book with him again when we no doubt return to our favourite country, Scotland :-) Thanks again James, I cant wait to share all my photos :-D

Wonderful guide and very good driver. I really recommend this event. I will join next time. 導遊很棒行程也很好 開車技術也很好。很喜歡這趟旅行 就算冬天日照時間不多 但司機仍盡力跑完所有路程 安排的又很合理 下次會再參加其他行程。

I knew I wanted to experience the sounds, smells, tastes, and all the feels of Scotland, and who would provide those opportunities but James with Alba Experiences. This trip knocked my socks off. I could not have imagined I’d end our trip with a regeneration of my inner. Being. My trip was absolutely immersive. Getting to know the ancient history of Scotland from seeing dinosaur footprints and visiting Neolithic carvings to capping off our trip with the ever-so-contemporary Kelpies, we did it all. James is an encyclopedia of knowledge of the history and the architecture and the fabric that makes up this beautiful country. If he doesn’t know the answer to your question, he finds out, but him not knowing is rare. From the Piper at Glen Coe, talking to the locals at Falklands, experiencing the Fairy Glen, the magic of Clava Cairns, the giant Douglas Firs at The Hermitage, the tragedy of Culloden, and simply just driving from place to place staring out the window with the Scottish music playing captured my heart. With over 1800 miles on the odometer, we saw, smelled, tasted, soaked in, and were enveloped by Scotland, mostly because of James’s devotion to his customers’ welfare, our experiences, and sharing his love of this land.

A very pleasant day with James, it was surprising how much we get to experience in one day. The trip was adjustable to our needs and will definitely come back again. It is also nice to meet someone who is passionate about Scotland, might book on their website the next time. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you ^^
