Trafalgar Square

Below is a list of possible places for your walk let me know which you want to choose or leave it to me. Pass by times are all flexible. See all the hidden and not so hidden gems of Trafalgar Square. Learn about London's history and how Westminster City came into being. We also talk about King Charles and the monarchy. While at Trafalgar Square you will have a chance to take some iconic photos.

Admiralty Arch

View Admiralty Arch close up and listen to some hot gossip. While at the Arch you get to view a building described as "offence to London architecture". And learn why the Mall is red as we head towards Buckingham Palace. Stopping on the way for tales of fraud and intrigue and Westminster's Gasketeer's. Westminster has so much to offer and so many monuments. Walking is route takes you to so many hidden gems. Along the red Mall we walk along side St James's Park to King George VI monument and Queen Elizabeth. Resident at Buckingham Palace during the war see the tribute to the Queen Mums work and listen to a couple of royal stories.The Mall towards Buckingham Palace has the best views of the oldest and original working Westminster gas lamps up close

St. James's Palace

Many a great story to be told at this royal residence. A Tudor marvel originating from the 13th Century. Site of royal proclamations and home to ancient royal baby swapping scandal. St James's Palace is the most senior and most interesting in Westminster, London. Hear about its fascinating history former hospital and Tudor residence. Also what it is currently used for today. On specific days when it is taking place this is where it is best to see Changing of the Guard.

Buckingham Palace

Iconic Buckingham Palace, Westminsters Jewel. We walk past Buckingham palace and its Golden Monument to Queen Victoria. Take selfies in front of the palace. We check out the beautiful Dominion Gates. While I regale stories from Queen Victoria time and how Buckingham Palace came into being and speculation as to why King Charles III does not reside in the palace. Also ask me why we have a King James Mulberry bush. Time for photos and a climb up the golden Victoria Monument.

Houses of Parliament

Arriving at the final stop there is so much to see at this world UNESCO Heritage site. Big Ben in the Elizabeth Tower, recently renovated and looking stunning on the world stage of attractions; Westminster Palace other wise known as the Houses of Parliament, seat of English and UK government and politics; Westminster Great Hall, where kings have been tried for treason and others have played tennis; Westminster Abbey 2,000 years of history and The Supreme Court the highest in the land. Parliament Square in the centre of Westminster itself of the banks of the River Thames in site of Shard and the Eye. I leave you to explore the rest of London and where you receive your souvenir map of all the places we have walked. I am then open to questions for where you go next, how to bag cheap theatre tickets and where is good to eat.

Changing of the Guard

If a day when the guard is changing we will make our way to St James Palace for a view. Usually Monday, Wednesday, Friday and on Sunday at 11am but can be cancelled at short notice by the army. We always pass by St James Palace.

Parliament Square

At the end of your walk I am happy to chat to give you advice on where to go next or where to pick your next meal, being a small business (with a small online presence, you can easily find me) I can direct you to where your need to be next. I often carry spare tourist guide maps with me so just ask me for one.

Chinatown

We walk through Gerrad Street if you havent been before. Stop at the supermarkets or any other shops you are interested in.

Leicester Square

Wander through the busiest part of London while I tell you about its history thought eh ages.

Covent Garden

We make our way through Covent Garden Plaza, the Royal Opera House while I explain how the area came to be. I point out features and land marks you would normally wander past. This area has a rich and interesting history originating as part of Westminster Abbey.

Piccadilly Circus

Wander past Eros and down Piccadilly to the original red telephone boxes for wonderful photo opportunities. Past Fortnum and Mason and a pop inside if you are in need of presents to take home.

Royal Academy of Arts

During the day I am happy to stop for a tea and restroom break if you need one. And the Royal Academy of Arts is a fine place for a rest before continuing your walk.

Burlington Arcade

Stroll down the world's oldest Mall while I explain how it came into being. If we are lucky a Beadle will regale a story or 2. Please remember this is your tour and I am very happy to accommodate which ever site you want to visit. The tour will be custom fit to your requirements, starting by a pick up from your hotel. As such tour times may vary from 2 and half hours to. 3 and half hours
