This was my third time at the museum. My husband and son had never been, and I wanted my son especially to see it since my father was a WWII veteran. There were three exhibits we didn't get to see because so much has been added since my last time there (8 years ago). But we did get to see the ones I wanted my family to see. It is an amazing and awesome tribute to those who gave their time and their lives to preserve our freedom. If you go, please make sure you can spend at least one day, preferably two, in order to see everything.

The museum is so well done and there is soooo much history and information. It would take days to do it justice, but we enjoyed the hours we spent there. It is a sobering place that instills a lot of thought.

The film was great- well done. The museum was very informative. Plan at least 4 hours. Excellent experience.

An incredible experience. Everyone should visit. Be sure to also see the movie. It was a good reminder of what our country/soldiers sacrificed.

This museum is definitely for someone who is a military history lover as it goes over each and every battle that the US fought in WWII. I love history but it was just a bit too much and a little repetitive. I also didn't like the way that the museum was laid out. They had volunteers everywhere because it was easy to get lost. I felt that the D-Day exhibit should have been with the Road to Berlin exhibit but they were in completely different buildings. That said, the 4D film, "Beyond All Boundaries" was amazing. It was about 45 minutes long and gave a solid overview of the war, from the home front to both the war in Europe and the war in the Pacific. It's not a cheap visit so I only recommend it for really big military history fans.

So interesting and so much to see, we spent 6 hours at the museum and could have stayed longer. Definitely a must do activity when in New Orleans. The 4D cinema experience was great as well.

Amazing experience, very moving. The movie Beyond All Boundaries was incredible. We could’ve spent more than a whole day in this museum.

This museum is a gem. You’ll learn something if you fancy yourself a World War II aficionado and you’ll learn a whole lot if the subject is largely foreign to you. If you are the latter, then don’t worry. The museum is set up in a way that invites those who come in with a relatively clean knowledge slate to go out being able to converse with the aficionados. It tough to describe, but the museum somehow compels you learn. The National World War II Museum is a great way to get out of the French Quarter and jump into history.

I’m a Charter Member of the Museum. I’ve waited a long time for an opportunity to come from my home in Georgia to visit the Museum and to see my Grandfather’s name on the Honor Roll there. I loved how each part of the time frame and the peoples involved had its own area that was set up to be as close to authentic surroundings as possible. I’m a retired Educator, and have 9 grandchildren. This is a MUST for all to experience! We must not forget the sacrifices made, the lives lost, and the reasons this came about.

This museum complex is amazing! We only had a one day ticket, and should have had a two day. So much to see, learn, interact with. The films are definitely not to be missed. There are things to see at every corner. When you arrive you first board a "train" that explains how many young men and women first went to war. This museum was so moving. Many tears... Each area is staffed by volunteers to help answer questions. It is a moving experience, and a comprehensive way to explain different aspects of WWII and the causes and effects. You can take your time walking through each area and not rush. If you think it will be boring, it definitely is not.
