It was a great experience learning more about harlem and the details of the harlem Renaissance. Larry was extremely knowledgeable about the history and I truly enjoyed the stops we made and the nuggets of information. My favorite part was the personal connection with the people in the neighborhood and learning about how Langston Hughes left his mark and legacy in harlem. I enjoyed this tour with my sons age 12 and 15. I want to come back with my father who is an avid jazz fan.

I always heard about Harlem and its rich history, never knew about how it was developed and why. Every stop along the way I learned something new about Harlem and its culture. On my next visit I will return to Harlem and visit Hotel Victoria. Now that I know Larry gives other NY tours, I will make them a part of my visit again.

Larry was an AWESOME tour guide on our Harlem Renaissance tour! He started at the Harlem Metro North Line and explained some fantastic art that I would never have stumbled on if I were on my own. He talked about the importance of Langston Hughes to the area, as well as about the incredible jazz musicians and mural artists who made Harlem a cultural mecca. We finally ended the tour with a stop at the Apollo on the famous 125th Street. I highly recommend you take this tour to discover a part of NY that makes New York the greatest city in the world! Thank you Larry!!

This walking tour won't disappoint! We had a fantastic tour guide, Larry, who was so knowledgeable, funny, and kind. Larry gave us lots of historical and cultural information and was more than happy to answer questions. Even on a chilly February day, we enjoyed our walk and every stop along the way. Larry showed us the heart and soul of Harlem throughout Harlem's past and future. It is a beautiful town full of beautiful people with impressive musical, literary, and cultural history. From native New Yorkers to out-of-towners, this tour is a must-do. We will be back in Harlem on our own to try all the other things to do/ see and places to eat, Larry recommended. This tour is a must-do.

We got an insight into the Harlem of the past and the present. Larry, our guide, was such an amazing story-teller. There were just the two of us on the tour, due to some cancellations, and it really gave us the opportunity to ask questions and discuss. What an excellent three hours it was!
