Carlos was absolutely brilliant! Picked up on my interest in history, architecture, and art. Even recommended a great cafe, Taberna Tristana at the end of the tour... very pleased. He really brought Toledo to life.

Our family had a private guided tour today with Natalia as our guide. It was an absolutely wonderful experience, and had we known we would have enjoyed Natalia and Toledo as much as we did, we would have opted to make it longer. She was very knowable about Toledo's history, art, and architecture. She was very lively, warm and friendly. Speaks English very well and was easy to understand!

We traveled to Toledo from Madrid by train. (Note: you need to buy your train tickets in advance. The train was sold out on the day of the trip.) Our guide, Valle, met us at the station. We got a cab to the historic district, with a stop for photos at the panoramic viewpoint. Valle helped us understand the history, culture, and art of this special city. Over the course of 3 hours, we saw and learned about El Greco, the first synagogue in the world, the Gothic cathedral, and many other sites. Valle was warm, charming, humorous and very knowledgeable. Great value and a wonderful day. (Note: in addition to the cost of the tour, your are responsible for admission and cab fees.)

Following an unfortunate delay getting the train to Toledo - be sure to get to the station with time for delays at the baggage scanner! - we had a great tour of this historic city. Owing to our delayed arrival we had two guides; our first, Daniel, was very well informed, and kept the tour moving well while speaking both English and Portuguese (needed for our group). After a break for lunch (Daniel recommended a good local restaurant, away from the tourist scene), we were led for the remainder of the tour by Irene, also very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her home town. A very enjoyable tour of a fascinating city.

!Toledo! Me gustaría volver otra vez.
