    We really enjoyed our Madrid secret food tour with Jorge. He was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. We had a group six which mixed well. The food and drink was delicious and it was a bonus to eat with the locals. Jorge had lots of tips and suggestions which made it all the more worthwhile. Come hungry - the food and drink is plentiful and the final stop is chocolate heaven!

    Jorge was such an amazing tour guide! He shared with us so much history about Madrid and well as some amazing food and drinks. He was so personable, informative and showed us places we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. It was the highlight of our trip!

    This has been our best decision so far! Maria Jose was very kind and knowledgeable about the city, and gave us some interesting history. You also get a better idea of the city and food/drink away from tourist traps. We will likely do the Secret Food tour when we travel to Barcelona, too. I recommend booking this early in your trip!

    Jorge was a fantastic guide. Not only does he take you to some of the oldest and most prestigious local spots, he provides context and a dose of Spanish history as well. This was one of my favorite nights in Madrid.

    Jorge was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the city and food. Everything was delicious and even our picky eater tried everything. I love doing these food tours. You are given a lot of food and drinks so you may not want to eat before going on this tour.

    What to expect

    Madrid

    You'll start in a historic pastry shop to enjoy a seasonal pastry. Followed by a visit to a deli over 180 years old, here we'll sample two types of Iberian ham, manchego cheese and extra virgin olive oil. You'll dine on a classic deep fried squid sandwich, a local favorite. We'll eat one outstanding tapa and share a bottle of Spanish cider. Taste a vermouth with the tapa of the day, a favourite with the locals. Finish the tour inside a restaurant that is located inside an 18th century building with a piece of Spanish omelette and the Secret Dish that changes every day.
