    An amazing and insightful experience. The guides Sergio and Loris were amazing, funny, friendly and knowledgeable about everything Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma Ham. The production factories we went to were family run. Claudio at the Parma factory was hospitable and welcoming whilst having a laugh with everyone. Awesome day overall.

    We truly enjoyed this tour. Sergio was great to pick us up at a predetermined location. He really made an effort since I did not get his initial messages (still in flight). I appreciate him. He was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and informative. We did not realize that there are 300+ Parmigiano Reggiano dairies in Parma, and only about 20 of them are organic. Our tour was with an organic dairy farm, we were VERY pleased. There is a greater appreciation for the Parmesan cheese when you see the entire process. We also learned more about the cheese from Sergio . . . best to break off parts to eat (more flavorful), rather than slice it up. Then he drove us to the Parma ham tour. Another great experience - amazing to see all that ham, in different stages too. We loved all the samples of cheese and ham. Sergio driving us to each location and explaining things throughout the tour made everything more convenient, comfortable and enjoyable. At the end, he dropped us off at our hotel. Sergio was a great tour guide. We enjoyed this tour very much and highly recommend it to everyone. I would do it again!

    Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese factory The tour commences with a brief history of Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese. You will then proceed inside the factory where you will be able to see the production of the cheese taking place however, if you wish to see the start of the process the tour must commence before 9.00am as this is the time the cheese makers pull the cheese from the milk vats. You will then be taken to the seasoning/storage rooms to see the final stages of production. At the end of the tour there will be a degustationof different aged Parmigiano Reggiano Cheeses. There is also the opportunity to buy local products from the on-sight shop.
