    Our guide, Giuseppe, was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out many things we would not have noticed on our own. We weren't rushed and had time to have a swim at the beach and a granita before heading back to the starting point. We were very happy with the tour and would definitely recommend it.

    We were guided through the park for a 3 hour tour by Giuseppe Veneziano. His knowledge of plants and birds and history is extraordinary. We highly recommend him as a tour guide.

    With Giuseppe as our guide, we had a very good experience in the Vendicari reserve. With his knowledge about the nature and history of the place, we learned a lot and it made our visite more enjoyable. We learned about the local plants, the history of the area and we spotted migratory birds. I would recommend visiting Vendicari in spring. We were there in the first half of September and it was really hot. In spring time, it is supposed to more beautiful with lots of flowers and the temperature will be more comfortable.

    We enjoyed our guided walk with Guiseppe very much. He was very well informed about the natural history of the area, particularly the flora. Being local to the area, he was able to link his scientific knowledge to the traditions and way of life here, which was fascinating. He was very attentive to our needs as visitors, picking us up near our apartment and asking if we needed any other help or information. His manner was personable and charming and we would highly commend his tour. Vendicari is a rich environment with many birds to observe, including the flamingos!

    Tour naturalistico super facile ed interessante. Grande dettaglio su storia, natura e vecchie tradizione sicule. Super disponibile e flessibile, la guida ci ha permesso un superbagno a calamosche ed una sosta per l'asciugo. La riserva è fantastica e merita la cura ed il rispetto che Giuseppe trasmette.

    What to expect

    Riserva di Vendicari

    From the main entrance to the Pantano Piccolo ( Little Marsh) The path will conduct us along the wonderful shore of Vendicari, passing by several bird-watching points, coastal marshes and the beach, up to the tuna-fishing buildings ( tonnara Bafuto ), where, if open, we will visit the eco-museum. The visit will continue up to the sight point of Small Marsh, passing by the basins of the "garum". The visit will end with the return to the car park and with the famous granita of Corrado's kiosk.
