Gigondas

the village of Gigondas was in Roman times known as Jucunditas (Latin for ‘to give oneself up to joy’) – a fitting name for a place dedicated to wine, where the winemaking tradition has developed for over two millennia.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape

The AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an internationally famous wine. An exceptional region The Châteauneuf-du-Pape region enjoys a wide range of soils, and particularly large rolled pebbles (diluvium alpin) above red clay, allowing the grapes to reach a very high degree of maturity. Well aware of the value of their heritage, the winemakers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape have committed themselves over the past few years to an approach aiming at defining and reinforcing the identity of their appellation, particularly through the different local areas and the diversity of grape varieties.

We we in France for 2 weeks!! This was our favorite part of our trip! The tasting and Chateau Neuf de Pape memorable!!! Jordan’s is a fantastic guide, she teaches You about the history of the area And the about the wine!!! We hope to return!

We hit the jackpot with Gordana as our tour guide! She is an enthusiastic bundle of energetic joy, full of valuable information about the history of the area shared in a very entertaining and engaging way, and highly passionate about everything to do with the wines of Provence. There were only 3 couples in our group, taken for 3 wine tastings on a most beautiful sunny day in April. Between the most gracious hosts at each winery, our fun and vibrant tour guide and a great group of people, we learned a lot and had a blast - one of the highlights of our travels to France! Don't miss it!

Natalie, our guide, was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. She shared wonderful facts and stories about not only wine but the region as a whole. The 3 wine tastings were excellent and all were unique. Highly recommend!

Ann was super knowledgeable about the wine industry and production processes. She made the tour so fun and kept us on schedule. I would definitely recommend this tour!

The wind was blowing a gale, but the company was great and we enjoyed the wine tastings. Everything we hoped for

Natalie went above and beyond on our tour. She's incredibly knowledgable on the area and the wines. And we loved our stop at Domaine La Boutinière.

Natalie was an outstanding guide - knowledgeable about wine and also a lot of fun. Overall, I enjoyed visiting Châteauneuf-du-Pape more than the Gigondas winery, as the atmosphere was more fun and the quality of the wine exceeded that of Gigondas, but it was also nice to see more of the countryside. All in all, a delightful way to spend an afternoon in Provence!

Province is a historic area that has-been making unique wine for thousands of years. Tasting wine from Province is wonderful, especially in traditional varieties. Province is a hilly region, taking a tour from Avignon is beneficial. We loved tasting authentic wine; it was a highlight of our trip to Avignon.

Such an interesting set of presentations on the entire production of wine with many tastings. Very fun. And the landscape was wonderful as well. Just recommend a better sound system for Nathalie as she spoke fast and quietly. I’m afraid I missed half of what she said.
