Loris, our guide, was exceptional. He was so very knowledgeable and personable. Learning the processes of making the cheese, ham and balsamic were so very informative and interesting. An all around great day in Italy!

Our guide, Matteo was great. Very knowledgeable, personable and helpful. Each visit of the day was very informative and interesting, and our tasting at each was fun and tasty!

Roberta is an excellent tour guide, the best! The tour started with her and her hired driver meeting us at the hotel. The travel to the dairy was in time for us to see the cheese making process and gain an understanding of each step. Then, by car, we were off the meat factory. We gained an understanding of the curing and inspection process. Roberta, speaks both Italiano and English beautifully. She is very gifted with an ability to transfer knowledge. We wrapped up with a lunch at a beautiful agriturismo. It was a delicious lunch in a beautiful location. The best tour ever delivered us back to our hotel filled with memories to last a life time.

We really liked the tour and it's guides. Cheese, prosciutto, and balsamic was amazing. The booking was confusing- difficult to find pick up location and our guides had no knowledge of our booking despite our Viator confirmation. Made for a stressful morning.

The tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. I think the 3 rating is more the opportunity cost of taking a full day to do this vs exploring on our own.

A ride from Parma Station took us to a Parmigiano cheese factory and we would observe all the stages of cheesemaking, complete with detailed explanation and tasting of unfermented, fresh cheese. Afterwards we could compare the aged cheeses with wine. Then a ride to a prosciutto factory followed by a tasting of parma ham; a huge plate of freshly sliced ham and wine that served as lunch. We also participated in the balsamic vinegar tour, which was also educational and entertaining. Many thanks to Mattia, our guide whose on-hand knowledge made the tour more memorable.

Very informative and great guide. Learned way more than I ever thought possible. I must say I have a new respect for all three products.

Matteo was wonderful! My only suggestion would be to make sure in the ad it says meeting in Parma. As we didn’t know till day before the meeting point was 1.5hr away at 8:30 am. The only train to get us on time was 6:30am from Milan

To begin with, we were really late. We drove down from Venice and it took us a bit to park the car and then everyone needed the bathroom and we had to actually FIND the place. It was buried in an old and beautiful part of Modena. Giovanna greeted us with grace and…water! It was warm that day and we were so grateful. Aaaaand then she proceeded to walk us through the historical and cultural significance of Balsamic from Modena. It was mind (and palate) blowing!! The balsamic was unparalleled, made more so by the understanding of how it comes to be. From cask to cask to cask. Always filling, always adding, over the years, beginning when a baby is born and then gifted on that baby’s wedding day decades later. We bought three bottles. Back home in the US, we’re meting it out like the black gold that it is. I just highly recommend this lovely shop AND Giovanna! She also gave us a tip on a mortadella sandwich shop in Bologna that was STUPID GOOD! So I guess this is also a shout out to Mo Mortadella Lab. It’s worth the wait!
