The guide was a NO-SHOW. Still waiting for a full refund. It has been over 24 hours. No communication at all. Awful

We visited Venice for 2 days in July of this year and booked this tour on literally the only day we had available . The day before the scheduled tour, quite late in the afternoon the company sent an email canceling the tour due to an unspecified "emergency." Given that we were on vacation I, not being tethered to my phone don't check my email every 5 minutes so we proceeded to the scheduled meeting place only to learn later that they canceled. And why they bothered to include their direct phone number is beyond me because no one answered. Viator needs to do a better job signing up there outfits because this one stinks.

Get your act together especially with communications both in emails and on the phone and print meeting time on tickets. Don’t change meeting locations at the last minute then hours later cancel the trip. Will never use this company again.

The tour and price included entry into Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel. The guide showed up and had us book our round-trip train tickets, after which he stated we would not be able to enter the chapel because it was closed for religious purposes (Easter week). This was central to the pricing of our tour. We declined to accept these terms. Going to Padua on our own we found he Chapel was OPEN and ticketed visitors were entering. We spoke with chapel reception and they indicated we were victims of fraud (not the first). Padua police were contacted. Our information was taken. Despite these circumstances, Viator has refused to refund our monies. Do not consider this excursion.

I Booked the tour 14 days ago and left a message for pick up and drop off time but the agent didn’t get back until one day before the tour and hence, resulting in us not being able to do all the activities required entry tickets, eg. Scrovegni and two others. They did suggest to cancel for us for refund but it was so last minute that we didn’t want to cancel and went ahead with the guide. The guide was okay, did his best that’s why I put two stars. But we felt that paying for $331.56 was not worth it. It’s a lot of money to just do the St Anthony Basilica and walked around the town for half day, and visited two small churches which is not on the original itinerary we signed up for. We did visit a gallery but it was average. Overall, we didn’t do want we want to do in Padova with Viator tour, quite disappointing.

Our guide was awesome! We saw the sites of Padua and then we expressed our interest in seeing the Jewish section. Our guide took us the the synagogue where we were allowed to take pictures. Then to finish up the tour our guide made arrangements for us to go into the old cemetery where we were able to see family head stones. I would recommend this tour!

The tour was cancelled and we received a full refund but we went ourselves and it was amazing. I highly recommend this side trip.

My favorite part of Padua was the church of Saint Anthony! It was fabulous! The Guide was knowledgeable about the church, the decor and statues where beautiful and the feeling of the Patriot Saint was heartfelt! The square of shopping and restaurants were awesome. It was an easy travel from Venice on to the High Speed Train to Padua and it only took 30 minutes…

Tour guide didn't show up. Got an email at midnite and didn't see it so half day wasted. Plus taxi costs to the train station and back to Venice
