What to expect
Florence
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Florence by 6:45 am. Our driver will normally be at your address by 6:30 am. We will then drive to La Spezia harbor which will take approximately 2 hours. NB: If you do not provide a pickup location for your private tour, our default meeting point is: Borgo Ognissanti 70, Florence, Italy.
La Spezia
Your journey begins with a direct drive from Florence to La Spezia in private transportation. From La Spezia harbor, you'll board a ferry bound for the Cinque Terre. Based on time, weather and other conditions, your experienced guide will determine the best order for visiting the villages.
Manarola
Moving North, we reach Manorola. Manarola, named after the large wheel (Magna Rota) that once powered the village mill. Manarola is famous for its narrow alleyways winding up into the terraces behind the colorful houses along the harbor.
Vernazza
Vernazza is unique in Cinque Terre for its small port, built to allow ships to dock safely within the protected bay. Here, you can visit the beautiful church of Santa Margherita in the main square or explore the Tower of Castello Doria, which offers one of the most stunning views of Cinque Terre. Lunch will be arranged by your guide and served between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm. The meal will feature local seafood dishes, fresh pasta, and a glass or two of local wine.
Monterosso al Mare
The northernmost of the five villages is Monterosso al Mare, the largest out of the five coastal villages. The village is located on hills cultivated with lemons, vines and olives.
La Spezia
Once all three lands have been seen, you will take the ride back to La Spezia harbour.
Pisa
Enjoy the ride back to Pisa for a stop to admire the famous leaning tower.
Florence
Your guide for the day will drop you back to where you were picked up. Guides can drop clients back to other locations with prior notice.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
