On our last day in Ferragudo we had a choice of 2 activities but decided to go with this one because of the amazing reviews & it did not disappoint! It was actually the best activity of our one week stay. We booked a 14:30 tour at the very last minute on the morning of the tour & so selected the option to meet at the pick up point in Alvor which wasn't far from where we were staying. My husband & I had a jeep to ourselves. Our tour guide was Nuno - so knowledgeable & funny, he made the experience interesting & fun. At the end of the tour he dropped us off at our hotel which we appreciated. The tour started in Alvor, then Portimao, Ferragudo & Silves. We learnt so much about the history of each of the villages & experienced some amazing views, especially looking down at all the beaches in Portimao as well as understanding the meaning behind their names. We also saw & learnt about the trees & vegetation. The off-road experience was quite a thrill & it was amazing viewing the village of Silves from high up in the mountains. I would definitely recommend this tour & hope to visit the area again soon.

We were collected from our hotel promptly by Arturo our driver for the tour. As per the itinerary we started at the Alvor fishing areas and moved onto the coastline around Portimao looking down on caves and then stopped at a café in Ferrugado. We then went to Silves town with views of the castle. We then headed off road via olive, orange and lemon groves into the mountains surrounding the area. The track was steep in some places but the expert driving of Arturo handled everything just fine. Arturo was very knowledgeable throughout for the history of the area and answered all our questions. we booed this last min the day before via trip advisor and the comms and booking process was good from all. There was a lot to pack into 4 hours and if there was any criticism we would have liked to spend slightly more time around the castle area/Silves - but it was closed when we got to the from gates but we did manage to have a brief look and take a few pics. All in all a great tour and capable knowledgeable skilled driver who we had to ourselves for the afternoon a great way to see the real Algarve area away from the tourist trail what more could you ask for - well done!

We went on our tour on 30th March, our guide was excellent, good sense of humour and very knowledgable. Picked up from hotel which makes it so stress free. Took us all around the local area, good off roading up the hills. Very good value for money and would certainly recommend .

What an excellent tour! We booked on last minute as the weather this week has been unseasonably wet and windy - and we are so glad we did! Our guide was everything we could have asked for. He had a great sense of humour and vast knowledge of the history of the area and the local plants and animals. We explored the local towns and dirt roads to ‘secret’ beaches and cliff tops. After this stopped in at a small cafe for some local cakes and a coffee. it was then time to go into the hills for some spectacular views across the landscape and some excellent dirt roads through the countryside. We particularly enjoyed ‘The Roller Coaster’!! All in all it was an excellent trip, in which we had some laughs and learnt a lot about the area. A full 4 hours of fun. We would 100% recommend this trip.

Even as we had been to Alvor and surrounding area before ,we booked this tour as the weather was forecast dull the following day This turned out to be the most amazing trip out as we got see Alvor ,Portimao , Ferragudo and Silves from a different perspective. Our Expert guide and Driver was Arthur, who took us to see the area from a different perspective ,exploring the wonderful coastline and natural sandstone cliff tops ,we then went on to tour and explore Ferragudo and surrounding area explaining the different crops and history as we went by, before driving us along the Portimão estuary and into the undergrowth down tracks and mud paths making our way slowly and sure footed in the 4 x 4 up the valleys and hills to then appear on top of the hills overlooking the castle of Silves and surrounding area with plenty of opportunities to take in a coffee and comfort breaks Truly a wonderful afternoon in a glorious area , we will come again rest assured

What an amazing day. We saw amazing places of algarve. Knowledge from both drivers was amazing. The off road part was one of the funniest, exhilarating things we did. I think the driver and us all laughed so much.
