About 90 km from Naples, immersed in the Cilento national park, you will have the opportunity to explore Paestum, the ancient city of Magna Graecia founded in the distant sixth century BC by the Greeks. Paestum was once called Poseidonia in honor of the God Poseidon, but then renamed with its current name from the Roman Empire following the colonization of 273 BC Paestum still today retains its impressive temples in an astonishing way, dedicated to the much revered Greek deities, such as the best preserved temple of Neptune then followed by the more ancient one of Hera and the last but not the least temple of Ceres. The park also boasts a national museum, where it preserves ancient and priceless finds from the Paleolithic.

The visit will take place in one of the best dairies in the region as well as "caseificio Vannullo" which will be happy to welcome you to its historic estate: here you will be guided by an expert manager of the company who will be able to explain the techniques and production procedures of mozzarella di buffalo, will show you the stables where the buffaloes are milked thanks to the best techniques in order to safeguard the health of the animal, the quality of the product and the hygiene, will then lead you among the leather shops, the craft shops and the museum of tools of the processing. At the end of the visit, the appetite will be felt, at this point all that remains is to relax and enjoy a lunch with traditional products, in a private eighteenth-century villa.
