Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima

Fátima is considered one of the largest centers of Catholic pilgrimage in the world, which attracts an average of 6 million people annually The sanctuary, which started with a small chapel on the site where, in 1917, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco first saw Our Lady, today occupies an area twice the size of St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. The most sought after place and where the greatest demonstrations of faith can be observed is the Chapel of Apparitions. It was there that the holm oak under which the Virgin appeared. The tree was eventually destroyed by the pilgrims themselves, who plucked their branches. Today, in its place, is the famous image of Our Lady.

Batalha Monastery

Free time visit to the Monastery, one of the most impressive religious buildings in Portugal. For two centuries, the monastery of the Dominicans of Batalha was the great site of the Portuguese monarchy, where an original national Gothic style developed, deeply influenced by Manueline art, of which the royal cloister, a true masterpiece, is the perfect illustration. The monument was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO

The tour was wonderful. We had plenty of time to explore each area, and Esidro was very attentive to my family's needs. He also took us to a smaller village (where the three Fatima children grew up) which wasn't officially in the itinerary, which my religious parents really enjoyed. The private tour is a great way to spend your day with your family.

Durant notre séjour avec ma famille nous sommes tombé sur ce chauffeur, Paulo. Super chauffeur qui connaît la ville de Lisbonne et ses alentours parfaitement. De plus, il parle extrêmement bien français (ce qui pour nous était un vrai plus car en langue étrangère c’est assez compliqué pour la famille) et est très gentil. Il est très patient et nous laisse prendre notre de temps lors des excursions. Et réussi à tous nous captivé en nous parlant de la ville et de son histoire. Egalement, il s’adapte aux besoins de chacun pour ma part, j’avais envie d’aller voir le Stade De Luz et Paulo nous y as emmené et nous a même proposé de faire une visite du stade avec nous. Malencontreusement, il y avait un match qui se préparait et nous n’avons pu la faire. En ce qui concerne les trajets : le véhicule, c’était un van très confortable, propre et très spacieux dans lequel bon nombre de personne peuvent rentrer. Et notre chauffeur conduisait bien sans se presser et en toute tranquillité ; pour faire claire une conduite très agréable. Pour finir, en ce qui concerne la visite ce fut très intéressant, un paysage très médiéval avec le village d’Óbidos, un paysage époustouflant à Nazaré avec ces immenses plages, péniche petit coin très sympathique également et São Martinho Do Porto petit village également très beau. Conclusion je recommande fortement les visites avec Paulo !
