The tour with Lima was amazing! He was such a knowledgeable guide and took us to all the important sites. The Pena Palace was great. We had a wonderful lunch with wine recommended by Lima. We are golfing in Cascais and Lima knew all about the courses. He would be fabulous arranging a golf vacation. We would highly recommend! Michelle and Mike

Outstanding tour and guide! Visited the palace in Sintra, Cascais, and other stops along the way. Learned some history too. A great day trip.

Our guide was an affable driver, but did not accompany us on any excursion. He’d not planned anything in advance. We had not purchased tickets to the popular castles in advance, nor had he, so we could not see them. Cascais was a similar experience.

Our family took two tours with EAGLE Travel Tours - a full day in Sintra/Cascais and a full day in Lisbon. Communication with the tour operator was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed both days! Our guide, Jorge, was extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful companion during our time in Portugal. We were a bit of a high maintenance family group and George was incredibly understanding and flexible with us. We will work with EAGLE again when we come back!

We really enjoyed our time with Lima. He was very informative and friendly. The highlight of the trip was CaisCais. Really cute beach town.

We took four different tours with three different guides. We had a great time on all the tours and with all the guides, we learned a lot about Portugal and had fun along the way.

Our tour was excellent. Lima picked us up at our hotel then took us to Sintra and Cascais. He did an excellent job sharing information along the way about historical sites, bridges, castles and other interesting information. He truly catered to us and made the experience work to what we were interested. When we made our stops he gave us plenty of time to see the sights, shop, or taste the fabulous pastries including Pastel de Nata. Our tour lasted almost 10 hours and we were able to see and experience everything on our list. Would tour with him again if we come back to Portugal!

Luis was an amazing guide. He had vast knowledge on many subjects. He was willing to adjust the plan to meet our interests, including a stop at a local golf course. We would highly recommend him and his services.

Very enjoyable trip with Eusebio. Yes, he's named after the former Portuguese football star. Very interesting fellow. You'll never be bored. Runs an organized tour too. You won't miss a thing. He'll talk history, modern life, and anything you want to talk about. And he'll help you out in a pinch, like when our next day's tour with a different company was looking like it was going to be cancelled last minute. He was so accommodating to try to step in with very short notice the next day. He'll go the extra mile, going past the tour allotted time, and fighting the Lisbon evening rush hour traffic to drop us near a restaurant area we wanted to go after our tour. You need to book a tour with him and his company as soon as you can. It will be one of your best experiences ever. As for Sintra Pena Palace, if you don't need to go inside the palace interior to see the rooms, etc, and just want to tour the palace exterior, don't follow the long line like everyone else. When you get almost up to the interior entrance, try to leave the line and go directly to the palace exteriors. Even though it doesn't seem like there is an opening to the barriers to the palace exterior, just hop over the low barriers into the palace exterior directly or ask a security guard to let you into the exterior area. You won't regret you did as that would save you hours of waiting to get into the interior that you might have very little interest in seeing.

My mother and I had a wonderful excursion with Jorge. He was very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent historical perspective for the places we visited. We especially enjoyed the ruins of the Temple of Augustus (note the use of the correct name, nod to Jorge). I would book another tour with Eagle Tours, and specifically with Jorge, in a minute. Highly recommended!
