This was our second tour with Maria, and she did a fantastic job again! Museums are rarely near the top of our lists, but Maria was able to flesh out so much relevant information that it made visiting Prado so much more interesting than it would have been had we just wandered around on our own. Once again, her guidance served to whet our appetites and resulted in our visit being extended by hours after we parted company with Maria. We recommend the tour, and we highly recommend Maria!

Excellent tour with Manuela. She was prompt, very knowledgeable. This 2 hour private tour hit all of the highlights of pictures you must see when visiting the Prado. She then dropped us at the cafe where we had some refreshment and we were then free to explore further on our own. An excellent way to be introduced to the Prado. Her expert commentary enhanced the experience.

I booked this tour for my family as I really wanted them to see this museum because its, in my opinion, one of the best in the world. My mother and I could spend days on our own in an art museum but my father and two sisters need information to be fed to them as its just not their thing. I thought this would be the perfect tour to please everyone- you see all the highlights, hear about the background and artist, but the timeline is not too short nor too long. This ended up being one of our favorite tours as everyone was satisfied and pleased with the time and information. Years later one of my sisters went with a study abroad tour where they didn't have any sort of guide and she was still able to explain information about the paintings!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and picked fantastic masterpieces to show us in chronological order as well as historical importance. Our two teenage sons were with us, so I was a bit worried that they might get bored but our tour guide was fantastic and made sure to keep them engaged - they enjoyed the tour as much as my husband and I did. Afterwards we could stay at the museum and explore on our own, so we took advantage of this and went to see the temporary exhibits as well as going back to some of the previously visited areas (specially the Goya rooms).

Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us to see many different perspectives in the art. Definitely would recommend this tour

The tour was terrible. She had little knowledge of the art, was unprepared and on her phone.
Worst!

We were able to wedge this into a 1 1/2 hours between other tours and our guide was very flexible. We hit it right when it was not very busy right before it opens for free in the evenings for locals and it was perfect timing. Our guide was wonderful and picked just the right pieces and commentary to leave an impression. Especially neat was her explanation of the changing perspective of a table in a work, as you move around the gallery.

It was okay but we couldnt understand much our guide. He was nice but his english articulation was not so good. He did take us to the most important pieces of the museum and did his best to speak clearly, but sometimes, it was hard to understand.

Barbara L

The tour guide was excellent and we enjoyed the Prado very much.

Nancy V

Our very knowledgeable guide not only escorted us to the highlights of the museum but set the paintings in their historical context and discussed why each was important.
