The experience was cancelled with no notice from anyone. We walked over 40 minutes and no one was there. We then tried to contact the tour director and she had cancelled a few days before but no notice etc was sent to me!!

Claudia was a very engaging and knowledgeable guide. The food tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Not only did she select great stops for food and drinks, she highlighted interesting sights along the way. Great way to see Venice!

Our guide was Loris and he was great! We arrived at the wrong location but he picked us up in no time. He showed us the local bars and ordered us the local chiccetti and local wines and gave us interesting information about the city and it's customs. We shared a passion for food and wine and that made the evening really pleasant. We shared numbers and kept in touch during our entire stay (and perhaps after that :))

Dec 2019 - Perfect host extremely knowledgeable about local wine and the local area unfortunately he was stuck with us! Loris took us to three local bars in the northern district drinking different things in each bar. Spending time explaining their history and how, where it was made. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would throughly recommend Loris.

We have been to Venice a few times but despite trying to explore, we always end up going round in circles and ending up in St Marks. And as lovers of food and wine, we booked this tour. What a great decision that was. Giada was simply lovely, full of information and great tips. She introduced us to cicchetti (Italian tapas) and ombra (incredibly lovely and cheap house wine) which often costs around one, yes just one Euro. We do love our wine and there was nothing cheap and nasty about this. Well yes, it was cheap! We visited three places where we sampled the delicious cicchetti and drank local wine. It was a superb way to start our long weekend and I would recommend this to anyone. Giada had lots to show us on the way, including the place where the Plague started. She also reassured us that the spooky dark alleyways were perfectly safe for getting lost in. Afterwards Giada was super helpful, sending us the route we had taken and offering us help and info if we needed it. I have been talking about it to everyone. It was lovely to have such a small group too - just my partner and I and Giada. She doesn't take more than 4 people as she likes to give everyone proper attention. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
