Lago d'Iseo is an alpine lake in the Italian Alps, in the province of Trentino. Surrounded by high peaks and glaciers, it is a popular tourist attraction for its natural beauty and clear water. The area around the lake includes skiing and hiking trails, many of which are suitable for snowshoeing as well as short walks. A popular excursion is to take part in an 18-kilometer long hike that passes through three different nature preserves, ending at Cortina d’Ampezzo. The region is well known for its white wines, which are made from a blend of grapes including arneis, chardonnay, verdicchio, and whites from the marsalese grape. Most areas are farmed organically and animal manure is collected and used on the vineyard.
