In this place there is a restored windmill, in the parish of Fajã de Cima.

In this place we have a panoramic view over the entire fishing port of the village of Rabo de Peixe.

Upon arrival at Furnas, we will stop at several viewpoints for a panorama over the furnas and their respective lagoon, which includes a stop at the Pico do Ferro viewpoint.

Our guide went out of his way to show us and Teach us about his homeland. Very personal guy. The tour and his Picnic of local foods far exceeded our expectations. This tour is exactly what you want in a personal guide.

We had a really nice time on our day with Joao. Our time was limited as we were visiting for only one day on a cruise ship. Joao arranged pickup in his car at a small parking lot very near to the port entrance. A short walk up the hill with a right turn and he was there to pick us up. We communicated beforehand with WhatsApp where he provided us pictures of his car and the very short route to the parking lot. We also communicated right before we left to let him know when we would be leaving the ship so we could time it as we would not have internet availability on the island with our American cell phones. Having our own private guide was wonderful! We were able to beat all the larger tour buses to the places we wanted to stop and beat the crowds. There was a few places that we wanted to see, that he accommodated for us, but also we just ask him to show us spots that he really likes in the time we had available to us. He showed us a number of really great places, and places that were out of the way. This was very nice as Sao Miguel, is a relatively small island, with a pretty darn big cruise ship docking! We had a wonderful time at a place with several hot spring pools that was just beautiful! He took us through several villages, and showed us a number of fumerales that were quite interesting and active. He took us to a small park, with beautiful views all around the island where we were the only people there. He provided us a wonderful picnic lunch that he wanted to surprise us with. All products made here on the island, and in some cases other islands of the Azores chain. The picnic was such a surprise, and better than we could have ever even imagined! Joao was a really great guy to be with. He knew a lot of the islands history, as he's lived here his whole life, and we got to know a little bit about what family life was like there. An experience you simply would never get with a larger tour group on a bus! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our short visit! Highly recommended!! Easily five stars!

João did an amazing job of covering of covering as much as he could in the time we had while adapting the tour to our preferences. The "snack" was also more of a meal! I appreciated that it was all local products, and he was able to accommodate us as vegetarians (let him know beforehand about any dietary restrictions). We saw some beautiful places and also got a real sense of what life on São Miguel is actually like – the good and the bad. I strongly recommend this tour to any group of 1-4 people visiting for a day if you want to make the most of your visit.

What an experience!! Joao, our driver and guide created an experience of a lifetime for us. He was kind, patient and so knowledgeable. We spent a relaxing day exploring the island at our own pace, saw amazing sights and have a lifetime of great memories. Joao provide us with an authentic Azores picnic and he documented our journey by providing us a file of personal photos he took of us during the day . This is a must “do“ when you visit Sao Miguel. Joao is the best!

Amazing trip that gave us opportunity to hear local stories, visit hidden gems and get to each spot of Sao Miguel island from east to west, from south to north in just one day! Many thanks for the amazing tour, after which it is impossible not to fall in love with the Azores! Our teenagers absolutely loved the humor and easy-going manner of our guide who spoke perfect English and provided very insightful local take on what's is happening on the island. Do not be afraid that you might get tired or bored: for us, full day of riding around the island flew by in a second! We were so glad that we booked with Your Tours and Joao - we were amazed how it is possible to see all highs and lows, mountains and ocean-side, from tea factory to Furnas in 8-9 hours. It was pleasant surprise that we saw island beyond what was in the description as Joao drove us even further to Nordeste mountains. Be aware that the "snack" that was generously shared is more like a very authentic lunch after which we even did not want to have dinner! :) What can I say - it was a real thrill and absolute treat!

We had a great experience in San Miguel thanks to João, he was amazing! João is very knowledgeable of his homeland. The best way to see a place is through the eyes of a local! João did a great job! João took us to a beautiful park for a picnic snack. For us it was a lunch with all local items and it was great ! João thought of everything ! Thank you for treating us like family João . Can't wait to come back to Ponta Delgada.

João is absolutely amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and so much fun. He organized a lovely lunch, the tour was fantastic, and we saw the island with the benefit of a local guide who knew all the shortcuts and we had the most real tour ever. Our most heartfelt thanks to João and his lovely wife for an exceptional day.

Joao was famtastic! He loves his island and knows it very well. We saw everything, the good, not so good and came away with an understaning of the country, the people and their culture. The "snack" was actually a picnic with local breads, wine, beer, cheese, crackers, jam. We spent 8 hours with Joao and felt we had a new friend in the Azores.

We started out with a magnificent view, had a special request to get some Azorean wine, so stopped at a great store. A couple other stops for great views, then on the the Baths at Furnas! Wow, so much fun to soak in the various hot pools, waterfalls and relaxation. On to one of the lakes where they provided a fantastic snack with all local products, bread, beer, pate', pastries, cookies, a feast. Then on to the Blu and Green lagoons in the caldera, Amazing! Unfortunately our ship was late arriving and we had to go. Looking forward to going back, and will certainly book with this company again! A wonderful tour, THANK YOU!!
