La Lonja de la Seda
La Lonja is one of the characteristic buildings of the city, as well as being one of the most famous civil Gothic monuments that Europe can offer. It enjoys the high distinction of a national Historic-Artistic Monument since June 4, 1931 and was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site on December 5, 1996. The Lonja de Mercaderes is located in the center of the city - in front of the Central Market and the Temple of Santos Juanes - and occupies a rectangular surface whose area is about 1990 square meters. At the end of the 13th century, the old Lonja was insufficient due to the prosperity of the city, so in 1469 it was decided to start the construction of a new Lonja. The first stone was laid in 1492, although the works began a year later. The main figure who intervened in the construction was Pere Compte, a citizen of Valencia, engineer and architect at the same time.

The Torres de Serranos or Puerta de Serranos are one of the two fortified gates of the medieval wall of Valencia that are still standing. The complex is made up of two polygonal towers joined by a central body, where the door itself opens, topped with a semicircular arch.
Mercat Central de Valencia
