An example of this is the Adega José de Sousa Rosado Fernandes, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, Alentejo, where the Roman tradition of fermenting in clay pots keeps abreast of the latest technology.

In 1997, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, then known as JP Vinhos, moved from Pinhal Novo to the Azeitão wine region in the heart of the Setúbal Peninsula and settles into an emblematic building designed and built by António d'Avillez , symbol of modernity anchored in tradition.
