Mercado de Triana

The most trendy and traditional market in town (which used to be the Inquisition castle). Let us tell you about some of the products you are going to get to try later and others that you might want to. At the market we will stop by different stands, but before we stop for food we will get wine (to open up our appetite a little)!

Triana

Right after the Market we will go to about some of different classic tapas bars in the area where we will get ugly but delicious tapas and drinks! We have several options of ugly tapas bars/taverns/bodegas: the ones we go to will depend on which are the best in town the day we choose! You will go on this walk with one of us, during we will tell you about why spanish gastronomy is wide and simple but delicious. You will understand more about this food by the history of the products, of their people, wineries, processing and more.

We met at the bridge no problem and our group was large so we split into two and had a guide each. People mentioned being on the “Ugly delicious” tour whereas we’d booked the slightly more expensive “uncanny food” tour but were told they’re the same…why had we paid more then? The write ups were slightly different online… Esperanza was super knowledgeable and approachable. She gave engaging conversation and involved everyone. The food was delicious and included things I would never have ordered (and one or two that I would never again, but still glad I tried them!). The two drinks were great too. We finished the tour about 20 mins earlier than advertised though. I’m looking for how to contact about the price difference unless someone can respond to this review to explain please?

What an amazing time I can't even start. The tour guide Carolina was so informative and I had such a good time. I tried things that I never would've imagined. The snails were very unique and I loved the tinto de verano.

Really disappointed! Booked to go on the tour this morning at 11.30 and got a cancellation email with no reasons, 45 minutes before the start. Left us high and dry with no other options to get a tour with limited time in Seville. How would you feel!!! Sick!

Do not take this tour! We were 8 minutes late for the tour due to our taxi arriving late. I advised the tour operator ahead of time, but they left without us. We tried to contact them to see if we could meet up with the tour at the 1st stop, but they were uncontactable. We spent 30 minutes roaming around Triana hoping to find them to no avail. We eventually heard back from the tour operator 3 hours later (!) we we told they don’t bring their phone as it’s”not fair” to the other guests. Frankly, if you are offering a service to tourists who are not familiar with the city and are dependent upon public transport not being contactable or offering alternate meeting places once the tour has started is very poor.

Antonio is a great host. Has passion for food. Spain and Seville. You get a bit of everything I expect from a food tour. Culture. History. Food and drinks. There’s plenty of food. So skip breakfast.

If you like special and tasty food and at the same time want to learn a lot about the history of Seville, then this tour is an absolute must. Antonio lets you taste the most special tapas and knows how to tell very interesting stories about it, full of humor and enthusiasm. They are very special tapas but no scary or nasty things. You can indicate in advance what you absolutely do not want to eat. You can join this tour with confidence, you won't regret it! He takes you to the market and to special eateries. If you want to get to know the real Seville, book this tour with Antonio!! We loved it so much that we also booked the Sangria tasting with Antonio the day after. On a roof terrace with breathtaking views! In addition to different types of sherry, we also tasted the most delicious Sangria ever, not in those small glasses, but really big glasses! Also highly recommended!!
