Viator operator canceled our excursion less than a day before the excursion leaving us on our cruise boat with no excursion to Rome! We got totally screwed!

Maurice was our driver for the day in Rome. He took us to sites we have not seen before. He helped us pick out wine and pasta and took us to a lovely coffee shop. Then to a fabulous restaurant for lunch. The food was the very best. Maurice was very kind and gracious! Highly recommend

The best thing about the tour was that the guide picked us up on time. Our guide was very difficult to understand. I asked him to repeat himself several times. He told us very little about the different things. Later when we returned to the ship we heard so many funny and educational stories about places in Rome. He did not tell us any stories about Rome. He said he had shown us everything about 12:30 PM I told him my husband and I both worked in universities. I told him we would like to see a university or two in Rome. He did not take us there.. The tour was much shorter than we had anticipated. He did ask us what we had wanted to see., I told him it was our first time to Rome and we wanted to see all the important places. I told him that he was the guide and he should know the places to visit. He asked us again what we came to see. I wanted him to show us the interesting things that were in Rome. I really felt cheated. My husband gave him a $20.00 tip. I do not think he earned it. I will not use Viator again when I take my children and grandchildren to Rome.

Was given best advice from a European couple. Was met at port for p/u upon arrival. My family of 4 with luggage and all met with driver , discussed what we wanted to see. He took care of all our needs. Was knowledgeable and funny and hooked us up with front of line tickets, for the Coliseum and a quide in Rome, because we were not prepared. The sights were beautiful in Rome. Dropped us off at our hotel all I 8 hours. I highly recommend this if short on time

Luigi was an amazing guide and did everything to make our day a special one. This was a perfect way to fit all of Rome in one day from the cruise port and was well adapted to my grandma's mobility. We couldn't have asked for more! Thank you Luigi for your kindness and hospitality! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!!

Overall, this was not too bad, the driver we got was great, but do remember its just a driver, he does not do any walking with you and/or guiding of the tour, they bring you to places and point in the right direction, this worked perfectly for us, but might not be for all. There was a hiccup in original start time and pick up place and we did loose about an hour, so make sure you have proper contact info and maybe contact local operator prior to tour time in order to get full instructions on where to get picked up or how to contact them.

Our driver was amazing! It was my first trip to Rome. I was with my 2 teenage daughters. Our guide took us all over the city, showed us all the landmarks, told us the history of each place, and even booked us a reservation at a restaurant that had gluten free pizza. It was the best pizza I've ever had. He was thoughtful and knowledgable. It was our best tour during our trip to Europe!

Our tour guide Mauricio was wonderful. Punctual, friendly and grew up in Rome so he really knew all the sites and history and the back roads to take us to all the highlights in a day. Still wish we had more time than 8 hours but highly recommend this private tour of Rome! We would have been very tired trying to see the sites and get around ourselves.
