Andy brings a wealth of experience to the “Walk in footsteps of Darwin”. My wife and I shared the experience with a friend from Sydney and we all had a great time being shown some highlights of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington. The waterfall/octopus tree were amazing and the walks in the rainforest peaceful and relaxing. It’s an easy walk and should be experienced instead of just driving to the summit Our thanks go to Andy for a wonderful experience

I'm not much of a hiker but wanted to get out in nature a little while I was in Hobart. I wasn't confident enough to trek in a strange place on my own, so this was a great and accessible way to do that. This walk included both spectacular views and a close-up appreciation of the landscape, and it was just the right length for me. If you're there on a Saturday, it's a perfect pairing with a morning at the Salamanca Market, since you can just pop right over to the pier to catch the bus. My guide Andy was well-informed and passionate about the local environment, as well as extremely respectful of the Indigenous history of the area. Depending on the time of year, he may even have you taste a nibble of some of the local plants! Note that this tour also supports a small business that donates a portion of its profits back to local conservation efforts. I will say that although the gradient of the hike is not difficult and the trail is well maintained, it's paved in a natural style with bumpy pavestones and has some narrow ditches you need to step over. It's technically an easy hike but I wouldn't recommend it for someone who struggles with balance or stability. Also, don't fret if you show up to the pier on your scheduled day/time and the guide isn't there to meet you. Just talk to the driver on the kunanyi/Mt. Wellington bus - they will know to expect you and will connect you with the guide on the mountain.

Had a walk from The Chalet to The Springs. Highly recommended. Nice, energetic, knowledgeable and experienced guide Andy, who basically took care of everything, from pre-walk preparation, touring along the walk and post-walk tea! A must-join tour if you would like to have a deeper taste of (but not too challenging) Mt Wellington in Hobart!
