National Palace of Pena

The Pena Palace is one of the greatest examples of romantic revivalism of the 19th century. XIX in Portugal. Inside, still decorated to the taste of the kings who lived there, the chapel, the Royal apartments or the kitchen stand out, where banquets were prepared for royalty. The mural paintings and tile coverings are also worth mentioning. Inside the palace we have a beautiful panorama over the Serra de Sintra and the Atlantic coast.

Sintra is one of those places full of magic and mystery where nature and man came together in such a perfect symbiosis that UNESCO classified it as a World Heritage Site. Right in the historic center, we see the Palácio da Vila with its two characteristic conical chimneys. Dating back to the end of the 14th century, it was the summer resort of many kings throughout the history of Portugal. After a random stroll through the narrow streets and shops selling regional products, it is essential to enter one of the pastry shops to taste the famous traditional sweets as well as the famous ginga liqueur in a chocolate cup. Suggestion for lunch (not included).

Azenhas do Mar

The "Portuguese Santorini" The most beautiful way to get there is from the south side, coming from Colares and Praia das Maçãs. On the south side of the Cameijo stream, there is a viewpoint and a parking lot with a view over Azenhas do Mar, which is a pearl.

Cabo da Roca
