Urbino has been on our list of places to visit in Italy for many years. When we finally made it, it did not disappoint. We had the added benefit of a delightful and well-informed guide to the Ducal Palace and the Oratorio di San Giovanni, Cecilia Sanchini, who we are happy to recommend also.

An impressive building, full of history and art. Guide was very informative and inside was more the you expected with artworks and masonry. You can learn a lot about Renaissance history and the Montefeltro family.

This tour was outstanding. The palazzo is a true treasure. Our guide was amazing. He had near infinite knowledge of all things art, architecture and history- both of Urbino and beyond, and presented it in a way that was accessible and fun. He also gave us a ton of suggestions for other things to see and do in Urbino and beyond. Urbino is bit off the usual tourist path, but a must see for lovers of art, history and culture and this tour is a great way to do it!

I had an amazing tour with Cecy. This town and the ducal palace has been a dream of mine to visit for over a decade, and I was so fortunate to come across a guide not only educated in art history, but received her degree in Urbino! Her range of knowledge was excellent, and it was a joy to go on a tour with someone as excited and like-minded about love of art, history, and humanism as myself. In addition, I had a difficult travel day starting very early the following morning and could not find a taxi to accommodate me, so Cecy went out of her way to find me transportation when I would have otherwise been very stuck. I would highly recommend this and any tour with her, and I hope to one day meet again!

I had an amazing tour of the Ducal Palace with Cecy, who drove especially from Rome. Her in-depth knowledge (learned at the University of Urbino) of art history was fantastic to add to my own prior knowledge, and she was able to point out details and explain extraordinary little things that would have gone unnoticed alone. She was also extremely personable, and very helpful in going out of her way to help arrange transportation for me early the next morning. Since she is native to the area, her knowledge on all things Urbino is extraordinary, and I would highly recommend booking a tour with her. Thanks again Cecy, and maybe see you soon :).
