I would recommend Lido Tours to everyone who wants to visit Madeira and enjoy some hikes with beautiful landscapes and ocean views. On 31 July, we had a great guide, Charlotte, who was caring, easy-going, funny, smiling and talkative. I enjoyed the hike with her. She is also multilingual (English, Portuguese, French and German at least). Our driver, Nunu, was professional and very polite. He asked everyone how did you enjoy the tour when we were going back to the van. That is a very nice attitude that I would not expect. Charlotte, merci beaucoup! :)

Tour guide Charlotte and driver Nuno were a good team. We enjoyed the hike along the North Eastern coast of the island. There were almost no other tourist and we could experience "raw nature" at its best. The tour finished with a traditional drink called Poncho (fresh orange, honey, rum). Cheers!

Totally recommend this hike, views are stunning! Started out in a forest, then view opened up to beautiful cliffs where we also stopped for lunch. Then continued on down the levada trails. Trail is well maintained. There are a few steep places but overall it’s very doable in all age/fitness groups. As a solo traveler I felt very safe with the group and the guide Charlotte was very caring and professional. There are toilet breaks right before and after the walk, also we stopped for very good local poncha on the way back, definitely don’t miss it! I haven’t had such good poncha anywhere else during my stay in Madeira! Can only recommend Lido tours, no problems with pick up/drop off or overall organization.

The description sounds like it's going to be a long haul up and down. Actually although there were ups and downs there was no mountain climb. Take good shoes as some areas could be a little wet and so slippery. Our guide, Charlotte, was very good & knowledgeable.

This was my first hike of the week in Madeira, and I’d say it was one of my favourites! Our guide Charlotte was fantastic, she really took the time to stop and tell us about the plants on the island, and explain the different views, and recommend places to visit. Then the hike itself was lovely, great views of the sea cliffs. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Absolutely fantastic walk led by our guide Charlotte who spoke too many languages to mention. This levada walk was a good pace and very varied. The cliff path was beautiful, as were the forest paths. The weather was glorious and the views spectacular. Thoroughly recommend this walk in Madeira.

Exceptionally stunning scenery on this fabulous walk which I would recommend to anyone with moderate walking/climbing ability. Fabulous area of Madeira often overlooked. The walk comprises three main parts; flat levada walk to start with through interesting agricultural landscape, followed by the mist challenging section climbing - fairly gently by Madeira standards- until you reach the cliff top & those fabulous views. The final part follows the old pathway around the cliff face. Fairly rocky underfoot but not difficult. Fabulous views but not for anyone suffering from vertigo! Lido tour guide was excellent, very informative, not at all rushed with a decent break for picnic & time to take in the spectacular scenery along the way. Couldn’t recommend more.
