What to expect
Miradouro Da Senhora Do Monte
First day: Viewpoint Senhora do Monte, located in the Graça district, offers a unique panorama, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful views of Lisbon, especially because it is one of the highest points in the city. The half-moon shape gives a broader view of Lisbon, from which you can see the Graça Church, the Tagus estuary and the other bank, São Jorge Castle and the roofs of Mouraria. Further on, the lower Pombaline, the ruins of the Convento do Carmo, the Serra de Monsanto and the Penha de França. These points are marked on a tiled panel in the viewpoint, so that visitors can identify the monuments.
Miradouro da Graca (Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen)
Known as Miradouro da Graça, from 2009 adopted the name of one of the most important Portuguese poets of the twentieth century and was renamed Miradouro Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. This tribute came 5 years after his death, as it was in this place that Sophia spent many of her days admiring Lisbon. This is a privileged place from which you can glimpse the whole city.
Mosteiro de Sao Vicente de Fora
The Church of São Vicente de Fora stands as an emblematic image of Philip I's architectural patronage, after having ascended to the Portuguese throne. The church of São Vicente de Fora originated in a monastery erected in 1147 by D. Afonso Henriques for the veneration of São Vicente, patron of Lisbon.
Castelo De Sao Jorge
The S. Jorge Castle - National Monument integrates the noble area of the old medieval citadel (alcazaba), consisting of the castle, the remains of the former royal palace and part of a residential area for elites. The first occupation of the hill where today stands the castle of St. George dates from the century.
Miradouro de Santa Catarina
The Santa Catarina viewpoint, also known as Adamastor viewpoint, is situated on one of Lisbon's seven hills and is famous as a viewpoint and observers retreat.
Torre de Belem
This former Portuguese monastery of the order of S. Jerónimo of the XVII century, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. It is the greatest example of Manueline architecture, also known as the “Portuguese Gothic” and which deserves to highlight the facades, the Church. and the cloisters.

Padrao dos Descobrimentos
In a prominent position on the right bank of the Tagus River, the original monument was erected in 1940 on the occasion of the Portuguese World Exposition to honor the historical figures involved in the Portuguese Discoveries.
Centro Historico de Sintra
Second Day: A beautiful town at the foot of the mountain range of the same name, its unique characteristics have led UNESCO to classify it as a World heritage site. It was even necessary to create a special category for the purpose – that of “cultural landscape” – taking into account its natural riches as well as the historic buildings in the town and mountains. Endowed with luxuriant vegetation, the mountains are part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
Quinta da Regaleira
A restored project of the known small palace, wehe you will view several architectual featuers combined like Gothic, Egyptian , Moorish and Renaissance styles.
Park and National Palace of Pena
Your driver will let you chose what palace (or palaces) you would like to see, or he will suggest what is best for you to visit between Quinta da Regaleira and Palácio da Pena.
Cabo da Roca
The most Western geographical location of Europe, known as “The Snout of the Rock” or “Where the Earth ends and the Sea begins”, in the imortal words of the peot Camões in “Os Lusiadas”.
Boca do Inferno
You will find a natural cave made by the Atlantic ocean, which was nicknamed “Mouth of Hell” – one of the best places to visit in Cascais.
