What to expect
Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana)

The Roman temple is classified as a National Monument by the DGPC. It is one of the most famous landmarks of the city and one of the most significant symbols of the Roman presence in Portuguese territory.

Capela dos Ossos
The Bones Chapel is one of the best known monuments of Évora in Portugal. It is situated in the Church of San Francisco. It was built in the 17th century on the initiative of three Franciscan monks who, in the spirit of the time (religious counter-reform, according to the norms of the Council of Trent), intended to convey the message of the transience of life, as the famous warning at the entrance: "We bones that are here for your waiting." In addition to the spiritual question, there was also a physical question, namely; there were forty-two monastic cemeteries in the Évora region that were taking up too much space and strategic places that many intended to use for other purposes. So they decided to remove the skeletons from the earth and use them to build and decorate the chapel. [1]
Cathedral of Evora (Se Catedral de Evora)
The Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, better known as Évora Cathedral, or simply Évora Cathedral, although begun in 1186 and consecrated in 1204, this granite cathedral was not completed until 1250. It is a monument marked by the transition of style. Romanesque to the Gothic, marked by three majestic ships. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the cathedral received major improvements, dating from that time the high choir, the pulpit, the baptistery and the arch of the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, also known as the Esporão Chapel, a rare example of hybrid Plateresque architecture, dated 1529.
