Very interesting trip. But was somewhat disappointed. Was supposed to be English tour with one other language, but because of the group, our guide had to translate into three or four languages. Slowed the pace too much. Restaurant recommendation from guide was outstanding.

Marisa was our guide and she was fabulous! We really appreciated her ability to speak many languages including English. She was a wealth of knowledge and answered all of our curious questions. Highly recommend this trip.

This was an amazing tour. Lots to see and lean. Didn’t expect to find the wine tour as much but loved the info about shipping and processing was very interesting.

The landscape along the highways was interesting and attractive. Evora is worth a detour. The church with the 5000 skeletons was especially noteworthy. Lunch was an extra charge, and it was worth the 12 euros (soup, plate, desert, wine). The tour of the Fonseca winery was rewarding and provided an opportunity to purchase excellent wines at good prices. The bus was comfortable. The driver was professional and we felt safe at all times. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Not all English language. Guide had to translate 4 times same information!! Terrible. Waste of time and frustrating!

I enjoyed seeing the chapel of bones and the wine tasting, but honestly the day was underwhelming and I could’ve had a better day in Lisbon myself. The guide was friendly but talked a lot about history that was only moderately interesting at best, and there was a lot of down time as everything was explained twice. Lunch was good and if you are doing it worth the difference in price. Honestly I wouldn’t repeat.

Great guide and wonderful meal. The tour of the vineyard was superb. Highly recommended for Roman temple and Bone church.

This tour is run by Grayline. It was disappointing and I would not recommend it. The guide spoke in both Portuguese and English at every stop. As she was a native Portuguese speaker and only learned English a few years ago, her Portuguese descriptions usually lasted 10 to 15 minutes but her English explanations would wrap up in half the time or less. Logistically this was very problematic. For example while outside a cathedral, the English-speaking group had to stand around waiting for the guide to finish her Portuguese explanation, and when she did the Portuguese group immediately went into the cathedral while the English group then had their turn but they had less time inside the cathedral as the meeting time is the same for both groups. This pattern repeated itself throughout the tour.

Evora was very interesting and worth the time. Lunch was also very good. The bus was comfortable. However, we did not go to a wine region or a wine cellar. We were steered to the second floor of a restaurant in Evora to sample some wines. That was disappointing and not what I expected.

A good tour but our coach was stopped by the Police for 45 minutes in part because of a cracked windshield. The violations were not explained.
