Horrible trip. Very disorganized. Tour guide ran through Toledo, from point to point. If you did not run next to him, you would came to the stop right when he finished his 2 sentence intro and would have to run to another point. I have been traveling for the last 40 years . It’s the worst trip.

I've traveled to 36 countries with a multitude of touring companies, and this was my worst experience ever. The first stop at our destination, Toledo, was a gift shop (!) where we spent +1 hour. The tour guide in the city was dour and unpleasant, and abandoned us before taking us to the destinations in Toledo advertised. She also left us with inadequate instructions on how to return to the meeting point for the bus departure back to Madrid. Find another touring company or do your own research and buy a train ticket.

The worst tour we have experienced! The tour guide, a young lady who did not say much in English. When she left us inside of Toledo; just told us to meet the bus at where we got off. We had no idea where it was. Luckily we got back to the area an hour earlier; finally found others were looking for the bus too! DO NOT USE VPT for your tour!!

The busy left promptly at 10. I enjoyed the panoramic views and stop for photos. I didn't think it was necessary to stop at the shop for a minimum of 20 minutes to provide the store sales. In addition, there was not enough free time to enjoy the sights as the bus left at 4:30 pm. Best to do the trip on your own, I think.

This tour is perfect for people who want little guided tours and long free time. Bus was comfortable and punctual. Historical Toledo is good place to visit for a day from Madrid. Sadly we had a bad luck with weather and we couldn’t walk around the town.

I would not recommend this tour company to anyone as all you will be getting would be a bus ride to Toledo and most likely you will miss your return trip to Madrid. A bunch of us missed the return trip to Madrid due to poor communication by the tour guide. He gave us the wrong meeting point for the return trip to Madrid and subsequently we missed the bus due to the incompetence of the tour guide. All they do is give you a transportation and this is a self guided tour so be warned before you book the trip. SELF -GUIDED TOUR

Great tour, great guide. Bus though was terrible, dirty and seats ripped, temp was 40°c and NO air-conditioning on bus. Sitting on bus for 30mins before returning, bus showing 45°c.

Went on this tour because the hostel I was staying at had it advertised. I decided to do the day trip for 25€ to Toledo. It said we see several places and was in Spanish and English. Anyway, would not recommend. The tour guide person sat at the very front of bus and was explaining what we were passing, nobody in back row could hear, and she was notified and said it's not her problem. I could barely understand anything nor was the day agenda told to us. We just showed up to a jewelry store. It was really weird and awkward. Nobody knew what was going on and Everyone was annoyed at our tour guide.

My husband and I are Americans. We went to Spain for our June 2023 honeymoon and booked a day trip to Toledo with VPT. We did the later, 10 am departure and purchased the more expensive ticket that includes entrance to the tourist attractions.When I booked the trip, I thought that it would be an all-English tour. It ended up being a mix of English and Spanish. The tour guide would say everything in Spanish first and then in English second. We took a nice coach bus to Toledo. Once we arrived there, we sat in a parking lot and waited for about 30 minutes. I'm not sure why. It was never communicated. Once we got off the bus, we were shuffled into a metal-making gift shop. It sounded like VPT has an agreement with this business. We had to listen to their sales pitch and browse the gift shop for about 45 minutes in order to then use the bathroom. We were told that it would be our only bathroom opportunity because there aren't a lot of public bathrooms in Toledo. This didn't seem to be the case. As long as you purchased something, you could use the bathroom at many of the public eateries. After the group tour, my husband and I used our passes to get into the tourist attractions. The passes made it so easy to get into everything, but I'm not sure they were worth it. The attractions were small. We spent probably an average of 10-15 minutes in each. And after a while, the churches and mosques all start to look pretty similar. All in all, between the bus ride, the tour in multiple languages, and the gift shop, there was a lot of waiting around. We only had about two hours of time to ourselves in the city. We didn't get to stop and enjoy a sit down restaurant as we felt that we had to rush around to all the attractions. We would have liked to have had more time to ourselves. Side note: We visited on a religious holiday: Corpus Christi. This might have explained a lot of the hold up as there was a town parade and a lot of extra people in town. It was a very cool day to visit as a lot of the streets were decorated beautifully.
