Kai was such an incredible guide who led us on an incredibly informative and delicious food adventure. Such a wealth of knowledge that only a local could share. Bonus points for being such a great guy Kai!

KAI LARRAÑAGA was our Pintxo tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, very engaging, very bright and a total joy for the entire afternoon. The Pintxo bars selected were superb, Kai’s recommendations were first rate and each location was better than the next with wines that enhanced the entire experience. It was a beautiful sunny San Sebastián afternoon which only added to the stroll through the Old Town area. Kai also helped us locate a fine store to get San Sebastián football jerseys for our 5 grand children. Prior to the tour we also took a Mimo cooking class with Patricio which was also a first rate experience which we also highly recommend. Our compliments to the entire Mimo team for adding so much to our days in San Sebastián.

Sandra was our guide and she led an excellent walking tour. The restaurants were fantastic, she was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We would definitely go back.

Edu was a great guide - we got to learn a lot about the history of the city and we really appreciate how she gave us recommendations at each place based on our dietary restrictions. She also had a lot of great recommendations on places to visit and even what kind of gifts would be unique to San Sebastian. It was really cool to learn that the guides have the flexibility to pick the places so it's about what places they like versus just following a script. It's a lot of food and wine so come hungry!

So much fun. Our guide, Veronique, was funny, knowledgeable on food and history. The afternoon flew by. We retired to our hotel in a food coma. No more food required that day! This is a great way to experience the city and Basque cuisine and if I am fortunate enough to go back I will do it again. Could not have been better. Give yourself a treat and go.

What a perfect introduction to the pinxto bars and how to navigate them. Our guide, Ane, was superb. She, in her words, constructs a menu as you visit 5 different bars and sample 1 - 2 dishes at each accompanied by some fantastic wines. Along with that, she shared some history of the Basque culture and discussed the historical significance of certain parts of the Old Town where the tour took place. We were a group of 9 but never felt like we in a tour group. It was intimate and we also got to meet some other lovely travellers. The food & wine were both amazing - make sure you arrive hungry & thirsty. Would highly recommend this tour to any first timers in San Sebastian.

Highly recommend this pintxo tour, especially if your guide is Sandra, who was knowledgeable about the food scene. Conversations were easy and she brought us to the best places.. that foie gras with white chocolate!! and the basque cheesecake! In short, we had a great afternoon filled with delicious food and good selection of drinks. She tailored the 3hours according to our palates and was thoughtful about our food intolerances. We learnt so much on this tour and it’s definitely the best way to start your San Sebastián holiday because you get to explore the Old Town with local knowledge. Sandra also shared her other recommendations so as to help us navigate better for our remaining time in San Sebastián, much appreciated!

My husband and I did this experience in San Sebastián with a young lady called Ane. She was excellent in English and took us to the most delicious tasting places. We feel we have seen this city well as she also pointed out the history of buildings as well as the food. Ane was a very friendly young lady and made us feel comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with her. Thank you Ane.

This tour was total perfection! Veronica, our guide, was knowledgable, friendly, enthusiastic and focused on showing us the best San Sebastian had to offer. We went to five bars, and had two pintos at each. She selected the best the bar had to offer, and paired it with a local drink that enhanced the experience. This was our third tour with Mimo, and we can't wait until we book #4.
