Maria was a wonderful guide explaining the history of the town and how it came to be. The best 5 euros ever spent.

We loved the town and the next day we went back to do a 7 mile hike from the town. The tour was ok for the price. Half our group was Spanish so the tour guide conducted it in both languages. It made it difficult to follow everything she was saying. The town is definitely worth visiting.

We visited Frigiliana for the day, while staying in Nerja and LOVED IT! Our guide, Maria, met us at the beautiful tourist office, along with another few folk and took us up and down the stunning streets of the old town. As a genuine local (one of just 3000) - Maria welcomed us to her town with enthusiasm and shared the history over the centuries as well as giving us an insight to the day to day in this buzzing wee town; stopping to speak with locals as we went - who were just as welcoming as Maria. With a mixed group - Maria seamlessly switched languages as we went along and stopped us at the most beautiful spots to take our photos (thank goodness, as our selfie skills are woeful and we now at least have a couple photos from our holiday, ha!). We would highly recommend this short tour, with Maria; great to get your bearings and then just go and wander..! Sidenote - the wee tourist train takes you down through the southern part of the town - so you get to see it from voth sides - the bus driver was also good craic and knowledgeable - so also recommended! Huge thanks to Maria... I wish we could bring her on every trip 😜

Thank you Maria, your tour was so interesting and we discovered back alleys which we never would have found ourselves. One of the prettiest villages in Europe and one which I will hopefully return to. I strongly recommend this tour, excellent value too!

From the moment María José treated us to a delightful honey treat and guided me to the perfect picture spot, to her thoughtful recommendations for the best coffee and pastries along the way, every step of the tour was marked by a seamless blend of expertise and genuine passion. 🌟 María José’s profound knowledge of Frigiliana’s history and culture shone through, enriching our exploration. Her storytelling transformed each cobblestone street into a chapter of the town’s captivating narrative. 🤝 Beyond her expertise, María José’s kindness and warmth were the heart of the experience. She didn’t just guide; she shared her love for Frigiliana, creating a connection that made the tour feel like a stroll with a dear friend. 📸 The coffee and pastry suggestion (carrot cake and apple pie at Fae’s) felt like a personal touch, revealing not just a touristy spot but the authentic soul of Frigiliana. In María José, we found not just a guide but a passionate ambassador for Frigiliana. Her ability to weave knowledge, kindness, and genuine love into the tour made it an unforgettable experience. Our journey through Frigiliana with María José was a captivating blend of history, warmth, and local delights—a true immersion into the heart of this picturesque town.

Maria is a really great guide! I did the tour on a sunday night in november (not the most touristic time) so I ended up being the only participant in the tour! Maria gave me a lot of precious information and took a lot of photos of me, wich is always appreciated when you are traveling alone. I asked if the tour could be in spanish, so I could practice and Maria did a really great job at speaking slow and clearly so that I can understand! I highly recommand this tour!
