Cancelled last minute, very disappointed that they did not reschedule or tell us sooner to give us time to book something else.

I’m sure this tour was a scam. It was a walking tour that only included the statue of the cat and a stop at a tapas bar. The tour guide was unaware this was to be a magical evening. The guide was a nice man, who tried to discuss history, but had limited knowledge. We were not shown any of the night lights of buildings or monuments as I expected. We did go to a tapas bar. My husband ordered a beer, I ordered water. We had a tapas plate each (suppose to be included), and was told we had to pay for one of the tapas as it was not in the budget even though we only had one alcohol drink and was allowed 2 tapas. It was booked as a 2.5 hr tour. My husband was great and tried to keep the conversation going, but after 1.5 hrs, I ended the torture and called it a night. This negative experience cost $159. They should pay us for our time.

We thought it would be nice to schedule a stroll around the gothic quarter on the evening of our arrival day. Boy are we glad we did!! We met up with Sebastian and strolled for 2 hours. The history he told us was outstanding. It was clear to see his love for Barcelona. You won’t be disappointed. Meeting point directions are east with google maps.

Your guide didn’t show and we had to contact him only for him to try to reschedule. He then told us where to go and the places weren’t even open.

We did not have this experience as the person did not show up for the tour! We attempted to contact the tour operator multiple times and chatted with Viator on the WhatsApp and even they could not contact the tour operator. This was not a good experience.

We absolutely loved our evening with Gonzalo. As a local he was able to explain some very interesting history about locations and the origins of place names and customs. These were all things that we would not have discovered otherwise, and then of course, the best part is that all of this takes place over the course of a couple of hours exploring the hidden culinary gems of the back streets of El Born where there are many eclectic local Tapas bars that only the bravest tourist would usually frequent. If you are a well seasoned confident traveller this may not be an issue, but if like us, you really want to learn a bit more about Barcelona from a Local and not from a guide book then we would thoroughly recommend this. We visited 4 separate Tapas bars and in each we had a different small bite to eat and a drink. All were delicious. Gonzalo explained how Tapas came about and why it is still an important tradition in Spain. He also gave us great advice about how to choose Tapas bars and avoid the tourist traps. By the time we finished our time with Gonzalo we felt confident enough to then try new bars and restaurants that we may not have before and really get the best from our time in Barcelona. Overall we would really recommend this experience - it has all the key ingredients - great knowledgable company, tasty food and drinks and a chance to try new things. Thank you Gonzalo !
