This experience deserves a label of TOURIST TRAP! After 4h in this LOUD wreck we can’t help ourselves but to feel used.
Guys at the rental location are candid and provide an excellent customer service, but what they forget to mention, is an unpleasant feeling you will get after using their GoCars.
We rented the “scooter 50” engine, which prevented us from being able to hear anything else than desperate and, quite frankly, embracing noise throughout our whole journey.
It’s a dangerous vehicle with max 25km/h speed going uphill, and Porto is all about hills.
The “guiding system” comes out of a speaker, which you can’t hear, and there are no headsets.
The application crashed on us, and suddenly, we had an access to the whole system. (Excel, word, PPT, gallery…)
They also charged us 20€ extra, in comparison to what they promote on this app.
Not fun …. Not safe … and… a shame.
And the deposit of 100€ is exaggerated. This whole thing is worth of only disappointment.

Liked the idea and the price was reasonable. The radio was a bit hard to hear the commentary. Car went fast enough! Was a bit bumpy on some of the cobblestone reads in the city center. Overall I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't do it again..

2nd time we have done these. 1st time was in Lisbon. Great fun again and a great way to see the city of Porto.
Only down side is there are so many road closures due to road works so you couldn’t follow the guided tour and also we were unable to hear the commentary on the stereo as volume wouldn’t go loud enough but all in all great fun and value for money

For all GoCar Rentals a deposit of 100€ is required per GoCar (via credit card). A valid ID is also required.

All riders must sign a Standard Participant Agreement. Renters will have the option to purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance on the day of rental (10.00€ per GoCar).

Children 6 years old and under are not legally allowed to ride on a GoCar. Is mandatory to sign a Term of Responsibility for children up to 13 years old.
