We spent about two hours here. The interactive bits you could play games on were fun enough. Museum very in depth about history of chocolate. There was a couple spots where you could taste some chocolate but it was just standard milk/dark/white and just tasted like cheap calendar chocolate so wasn’t anything really special. We’ve been to another chocolate museum in the past and they had tastings of different chocolate blends which was more interesting. They also handed you a little packet of two chocolates, one praline and one not so nice one (couldn’t make out what it was). Not a bad way to kill some time in Colmar and not expensive either

We were ‘pleasantly surprised by the depth of information offered by this attraction. Yes, there were tastings but also a discussion on how it has affected global trade, employment and shaped much of our diet over the last few hundred years.

This is basically a tourist trap that has nothing to do with France. The museum was extremely boring. I couldn’t even get through the whole audio guide as I found that I just didn’t care about what it was saying. Yes, there was unlimited tasting of chocolate coins in various flavors but the chocolate seemed old and was not high quality. This review is only for the museum, not the workshop.

Had relatively low expectations of this museum in the Centre of Colmar but we were really pleasantly impressed. The museum is informative and entertaining with the history of chocolate and LOTSs of interesting information on how chocolate is grown and processed. You pick up an audio guide for the audio tour and games and wander through the interactive displays and rooms. Finally a tasting experience. Worth the entry fee.

Great museum, interactive, informative and funny. Adults and children enjoyed the visit, full of good ideas and nice implementation. It deserves the time. Fine hot chocolates at the shop. :)

Well worth it! They put this museum together so well. It is fun, interactive, and tasty. My wife and I learned to much and recommend this to adults, solo travelers, families, and anyone who is interested in chocolate!

Nice self-service audio tour of 90 minutes with interactive games and challenges. Very informative and the tastings are delicious! Reasonable price for what you get.

It was a really fun en great museum. We learned a lot about chocolate in a fun way and there were many activities throughout the museum to learn it. I highly recommend to do this museum!

Because I had time to linger, I went to the chocolate museum spontaneously and without a plan. It's not a big hit. Only go with children and only if they don't know how chocolate is made. The museums in Switzerland are much better and the chocolate too :-)

A superb museum visited with the family, the visit appeals to adults but also to the little ones who, thanks to the decorations and interactive games, have fun learning things about chocolate. I highly recommend this museum.
