Your Itinerary

Grosse Cloche de Bordeaux

Learn the history and appreciate the architecture of this medieval gem!

Porte Cailhau

After a restaurant experience, this is another stunning medieval entrance to the city which was also where many goods passed into the city after their travels by sea or land before the Place de la Bourse was built.

Pont de Pierre

After more food tasting we stop at the first bridge to connect the two banks has a lot of interesting antidotes to learn about, as well as a very significant change to the use of the river.

Place de la Bourse

Probably one of the most recognized locations in Bordeaux, we end here with more history of the location and plenty of time for great photos! Lunch or dinner will likely not be needed after this gastronomic adventure!

Anne was a wonderful host, with lots of knowledge about food & interesting information about the city of Bordeaux. She also was wonderful in accommodating my husband who was a coeliac.

We did this 1st day we were in Bordeaux. It was amazing. Anne did a spectacular job of introducing us to Bordeaux food, history, connections between food, wine and regional history. We think it’s one of the best things we did during our vacation. If you want to feel that a personal friend of yours is meeting you in Bordeaux, do this tour with Anne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon history and food tour of Bordeaux's pedestrian area. Anne is a terrific guide and foodie! Her stories made the remainder of our Bordeaux exploration more meaningful as we remembered what she'd said about it's history, and we went down the rabbit hole of her restaurant recommendations, starting with Modjo, which then led us to Sens Bistro Contemporain...both amazing.

Suzy (and Anne) were lovely and able to accommodate a last minute booking. History, local food & wine were all excellent. Suzy even helped us buy stamps to mail postcards back to the USA! The Basque charcuterie and Bayes wine were highlights.

Anne is such a great tour guide! We thoroughly enjoyed our Bordeaux tour— we loved the little gems she threw in on top of all the delicious food we got to try. The experience felt very curated. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the history and the culture. We took our 1.5 year old on the tour and she was very accommodating of anything we needed for our son. Would definitely do another tour with her on another trip to Bordeaux. Highly recommend!!

We had a great time with Anne in Bordeaux on a tour with about half history and half food. It was just what our family group (age 4 to 73) had hoped for. Anne tailor made it to suit us including ice cream tasting for the children!! I recommend emailing directly to Anne to get exactly the tour you need.
