The reality of D Day is brought to life while visiting the sites we have only read about in school Standing on the exact spot where our young patriots died brings to life the price our nation paid for our freedoms that we are once again in danger of loosing, but this time from within. The tour visited the most important sites and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and forthcoming Unfortunately the weather was absolutely miserable and the winds were almost unbearable Do not miss this opportunity to see for yourself the price for our way of life!

Everything was perfect including the weather. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. This is all I have time for 😃

Myself and brother in law booked this all day trip. Philip was our guide amdreally knowledgable. He explained everything at a level that I, as someone with an interest in D-Day could understand, but also exceeded my brother-in-laws expectations who to be honest is a WW2 anorak. Very interesting and laid back trip. Thank you Phillip for an enjoyable day.

Really good tour, the guide Phil provided insights which I had never read in a history book or learned at school. I would recommend.

Outstanding tour. Tour guide was unbelievable. She gave us so much history and detail. Ask for Rose. Went out of her way to give us detail

Booked with ledger luxurier coach but told a couple of days before it had been downgraded, picked up at 03.30 from Chester services had a tour of north Wales and the midland’s arrived at Folkestone about 12.30pm after a while boarded the ferry and finally got to our hotel at 11.20pm. The hotel was very basic the shower was just about big enough to wash your leg in, no air con, and required a torch to get around as there was maybe one or two lights. Breakfast was ok early starts and long days the drivers were excellent and our guide James very knowledgeable although had a major trantrum at everyone for being slightly late getting back to the coach although we did have a couple of elderly people on the tour who had mobility issues. Complained to ledger when we got back about the cost difference as we all had been downgraded they offered us £75 each although the price difference was more the £100 each basically they didn’t want to know. We had several conversations with the group and we were all give different stories to why we were downgraded but everybody all agreed that they wouldn’t travel with ledger again if the company cannot provide what you originally booked in the first place they should either offer a full refund or offer you some sort of compensation sadly none of these were offered to anyone, will not travel with this company again and hopefully people the read these comments think carefully about who they book with.

Very moving, especially the American cemetery. Francois and Celine were both friendly and knowledgeable.

Our guide, Luci, was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable, could answer a wide range of questions, made sure everyone was comfortable (it was about 100F that day). She really brought to life the battles and the problems that plagued some of them. She was a total joy!!!
