I've booked plenty of great food tours - this was not one of them. Our guide was nice enough, but the disparity between what the tour promised and what she delivered was shocking. We were supposed to go to 6 different restaurants in our neighborhood (the reason I booked the tour) - but she led us to the metro to go to a different neighborhood, where we were going to ONE bistro. Yes, it was Dec 26th, and some things were closed - but if we'd known that was the plan, we would have canceled. Instead, we paid a bunch for an awkward third wheel. A rep from City booking promised to look into things, but instead gave me a small Viator credit that expires almost immediately. I hate to complain, but this experience ruined a night in Paris.

We really enjoyed our behind the scenes tour with Francois. He was very knowledgeable about the local food and wine industry and gave us a perspective we would not have known about, if on our own. We got to sample many local French foods - macarons, crepes, cheese and bread, and wine!
