For the cost of $225 for 2 people I thought ok Not that it was her fault but our group was moved to another location for entry and waited a long time to get in. I would not call this experience skip the line. Group very large and would choose small next time for the extra $$. She did show us a special ballroom garden which was fantastic but supposedly ticket was to include fountain but she said they were closed? Was a bit unclear about that. Okay overall as Versailles was extremely crowded. And alot of work going on w prep for Olympics so grounds directly around it all dirt but remainder nice. I would say Livia very knowledgeable!

Our guide Ivan was fantastic 😆 Really enjoyed his conversations and he kept everyone calm while waiting in the queue to get into the palace. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the time period, and the history of France in general, so we felt very comfortable to ask him questions 👌 We’re definitely far more educated on the subject of the “Louis(s)” and Napoleonic era. An absolute must while in France 🇫🇷 👌

We did the skip the line half day tour of the Palace and gardens with our guide Ivan. He was on time and throughout the tour was very knowledgeable and humerous. The grounds of the wider park and the palace gardens are completely free to enter and walk around via any open entrance to the park of Versailles so our ticket was really for the Palace itself which is well worth seeing. I would highly recommend this tour but the gardens and grounds are good as well and free to everyone.

The success of a guided tour rests heavily on the guide itself. We really lucked out with Stephanie, a lovely woman who I could tell was genuinely passionate about the history of Versailles and eager to share it with us. Of course, there are a lot of things beyond the guide’s control—a longer wait time to get in; larger, slower-moving tours; crowded rooms, etc., but she handled everything gracefully and with a smile on her face. I know for a fact that I wouldn’t have enjoyed this tour as much as we did had a had a different guide.

We had an absolutely brilliant half day tour of Versailles, Celeste even organised bright sun shine for us! It was a very engaging tour and the 3 hours flew by (none of the normal "museum fatigue" for us). She did a brilliant job interacting with our teenage daughter and really made the trip for her. It was great being in such a small group as some of the rooms are small and we could stop and take photos discuss things that caught our eye without feeling like we were holding everyone up. We could not recommend this tour more for people who really want to get to know Versailles and indeed the story of France, it is worth it.

We had an amazing time in Versailles with Christina. She was knowledgeable and went out of her way to make the entire experience entertaining as well. She took a little extra time with the group in the gardens and it made the trip. Highly recommend this tour!
