Musee d'Orsay

The second great museum of Paris, and a must see - unlike the Louvre, featuring the collection that is almost entirely made of French art. A definite recommendation and a unique experience.

Our tour guide, Amy is an expert in the French art and history. Amy arranged the sequence of art she showed us in a manner that was easy to understand and see the differences and points she described. I see art much differently now that Amy explained how to look at the evolution of the styles and history. Amy made the art very interesting and fun. I highly recommend Amy for GetYourGuide, Musée d’Orsay tours.

We had a fabulous tour with Amy through the Musee D’Orsay. Amy was fantastic guide, orienting us - and most importantly our two kids - on the history of the museum and the key themes of Impressionism. She made the tour fun and engaging for my kids and the whole family had a blast learning and exploring. Great tour!

We met Amy in front of the Orsay museum, and immediately she whisked us inside for our tour. Me, my husband and our two teenage daughters were completely jet lagged, but Amy kept the tour interesting and engaging. The pace was perfect and my girls said after it was the best tour we ever had, and I agree. Amy is friendly, knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the museum with her as our guide.

We had a great private tour of Museum D'Orsay. Amy is incredibly knowledgeable not only in art (especially paintings), but also architecture, art history and French history. She made the tour interesting, fun and even approachable for my wife and I. We saw some wonderful works of art, but also learned about art and French history. I wish we had scheduled a longer tour (ours was 2 hours), but we will defintely go back and do other Paris tours with her. Five stars, would do it again.

Boris provided an exceptional tour of the Musée d'Orsay, blending deep knowledge of art history with delightful intellectual banter. His passion for the subject was evident, enriching the experience and making it both educational and enjoyable. He skillfully navigated through the museum's collection, offering insights and engaging conversations in a captivating manner. He was kind to detour to pieces that we inquired about with a vast range of knowledge on the entire collection. Overall, Boris's tour was a highlight, leaving a lasting impression and a deeper appreciation for art.

We had a great time with Mila. She has a strong command of art history, which made our experience very meaningful. Mila started the tour by providing much needed context about French art, its history, and the differences between the art at the Louvre and Orsay (especially for those of us without an in depth understanding of French art). Having this context helped us understand what we were viewing, its significance, and how it fit into French culture, politics, and society as a whole. If you want a guide who has a lot of passion, interest, and expertise, we would recommend Mila.
