Raphael, our guide, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the monarchy and of the castles. She was very pleasant and friendly. The wine tasting and the lunch, both included, were fantastic. We would definitely take this tour again.

Great tour of two famous chateau's with a great lunch and wine tasting dropped into the middle. Nicolas was a wonderful tour guide and it was a great experience to have with our newly-adult kids. The wine tasting is *not* an experience that's well suited for young children so if you're with your kids, pick a different option.

Really good tour and great guide. We did Chenonceau and Chambord Castles and definitely two good choices. Plus an amazing lunch at a winery in between. But since those two castles are so far apart, I wish we had more time to wander around the gardens of each castle so that felt a little rushed. But that was pretty minor compared to the information and really cool stuff we learned about. Did I mention the amazing lunch?

Amazing day with our guide Jean George. This was our best day in France. So much to do in one day and Jean George gave a great tour. So much good information. We can’t wait to come back. One of my favorite Viator tours ever!

We had a private tour of two Châteaux: Chambord and Chenonceau with lunch in between. That was interesting since it was in the caves of a local winery and the lights went out after we sat down. A little daylight and many candles rectified the situation although it was still a bit dim. The owners were very nice, however. The actual tours were very good; our guide Nicolas (not quite sure of the spelling), was marvelous. He is personable and extremely knowledgeable about the chateaux and the surrounding area. We highly recommend him.

France Intense supplied a comfortable van for 5 adults for a custom tour of 2 chateaus and a wine tasting stop of our choice. Or driver and tour guide was Vincent. He was a great driver and guide. Speaking very good English. Much better than our French. Vincent made suggestions as to times to arrive at out stops, avoiding some of the crowds. He was knowledgeable of the details of what we were viewing, and patient with our stops to view, photograph and rest. Also, our granddaughter though he was handsome.

I recently returned from a trip to the Loire Valley in France. I booked a tour through the Office of Tourism in Tours, France. Since I was the only person they arranged a private tour for me with a driver. I visited 3 chateaux one day and 3 chateaux a second day. Mario was an excellent guide. He picked me up at the hotel at 9a.m. and we returned at 6p.m. Driving to the chateaux is the best choice because they are located in rural areas and many are not in the town itself. At my request he spoke French the entire time. He is extremely knowledgeable about the entire area. I learned so much that would never be in a guidebook. He made the experience wonderful. I highly recommend using the Office of Tourism in Tours because it is centrally located in the region.

Nessa região (Loire)encontramos inúmeros e majestosos castelos.O Castelo de Cheverny é um exemplo da arquitetura clássica francesa.A fachada é ornada por bustos romanos esculpidos. Inspirado no Palácio de Luxemburgo em Paris,com grandes pavilhões e decoração com pedras sobrepostos. Serviu de inspiração para Hergé ambientar as aventuras do jovem repórter Tintin. É considerado um castelo pequeno com 12 ambientes com belíssimo acervo histórico. O castelo é uma propriedade privada aberto a visitação pública. Fica no meio de um parque ,bem cuidado, com árvores centenárias. Tem um canil com centenas de cães e se tiver sorte pode assistir a saída dos cavaleiros e os cães para a caça de veneria. Tem também o jardim horticola.Legumes e flores se misturam formando uma paisagem maravilhosa. Na saída tem uma degustação de vinho ,na lojinha que vende lembranças de Cheverny . Visita imperdível.

Les rois de France ont choisi la VALLEE DE LA LOIRE pendant des siècles pour y vivre et pour y gouverner la France. Et les châteaux sont là , présents , ils n'ont pas changé. On est vraiment saisi par la vue de ces monuments gigantesques qui donnent l'impression d'avoir été abandonnés par leurs propriétaires que quelques heures auparavant. Et chaque couloir , chaque escalier, est marqué par un épisode de l'histoire de France et du Monde. C'est l'une des grandes émotions au niveau mondial.Il faut avoir vu une fois (au moins) les Châteaux de la Loire .....(comme les pyramides ou le Taj Mahal..)
