What a charming host! Marcel made each of us feel welcome and engaged as he shared his enthusiasm for Montmartre. He brought the history and current culture of this region to life as he tantalized us with tasty foods and the wines that best accompany them. Our day culminated in a beautiful lunch and wine with products our guide Nell collected on the walk. During the walk we tasted macaroons, chocolate, had a crepe and visited small, local cheese and butcher shops. Nell gave us a great talk and explanation about all the different cheeses and meats as we ate which was very interesting.

Yann picked out some great treats for us to try. He also timed everything well, not much waiting between spots on the walking portion. LOVED the crepe place - I never would’ve done there on my own, it was a real gem. Plenty of wine, bread, cheese, and meat in the second half of the excursion. We didn’t end up needing to eat dinner afterward because we were so full.

Our tour guide LOANA did an excellent job! She knows the area very well. She understands sometimes there’s a language barrier her English was very very good. Had a sense of humor. She had some opinions on food and we got to experience food, tastings, all different parts of Paris we thoroughly enjoyed it.
