Antonio was a knowledgeable and personable guide. He made our day fun and we got to see amazing sites. He tailored our tour to what was most important to us. Peña Palace is not to be missed and Casais was a gem through Antonio’s perspective. He added special touches to make our day special.

A whole day private tour demands a kind, descrete, well mannered and well educated driver. Our guide Jorge was all these - and we thank him for a beautiful day

What an amazing day and an incredible tour. Our guide was Gonzalo and he was amazing. There were three of us on this day tour and all of us were blown away by Gonzalo. Front door pickup at our hotel in Barrio Alto neighborhood in Lisbon. Gonzalo was incredibly enthusiastic and fun. He was extremely accommodating, very well read on all of the local history and one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. We started at Pena Palace in Sintra and at his recommendation we went early to avoid the lines which was a great call. He had magical parking luck with the van and ushered us in before the lines got long and boy did they...by the time we left there were 2-3 hour lines out front. He gave us all the insider tips as well as the full history of the beautiful castle. He had all the answers to all of our questions. So chatty and smart! Next was the Sintra town tour, he directed us to the Casa Piriquita (the UNcrowded one) at the top of the little shopping district for the perfect ‘after palace’ pastry and coffee. The place is over run with tourists which we didn’t really like, but it was a great pit stop after the Pena Palace portion and if you’re looking for any sort of souvenirs, it’s ideal. They have everything there to shop for. Next we went to Cabo Da Roca, the Western most point of the continent for stunning views of the coast along the majestic cliffs. Great photo ops there. It looks amazingly like the northern coast of California. Next stop was lunch at an incredible seaside restaurant called Furnas Do Guincho which had spectacular views of the ocean and delicious fresh fish. Gonzalo called ahead and pulled his strings to get up the best table next to the water, unobstructed views...amazing. This was such a beautiful and enjoyable lunch. We literally never would have found this place on our own without Gonzalo. After lunch we headed towards Caxias, but stopped at Boca Do Inferno (“Hells Mouth) in the seaside cliffs on the way, another stunning picture opportunity. The seawater there accesses the bottom of a chasm and strikes against the rocks beautifully. Finally, we toured through Caxias, one of the most beautiful seaside towns we have ever seen. All along the way Gonzalo was a fountain of knowledge about the area, the history and day to day life for Lisboans, it was honestly like having a familiar friend touring us around. Cannot say enough good things about the day or this very special tour. Worth every penny and every moment. thank you Gonzalo!!

We visited Sintra with its medieval streed and the beautiful Palace of Pena. Then we went down towards the Atlantic Ocean to discover Cape Roca (the most occidental point of Europe) and to see Hell's Mouth and the beautiful town of Cascais. Our driver/guide Gonçalo was very charming and attentive to all our needs. He was able to tell us a lot of these places in a fascinating and pleasant way. We really enjoyed this day with Gonçalo and we can only recommend this tour. Don 't hesitate, it's worth the money! Cornelis Claesen

We chose this way to see Sintra on the advice of the hotel. We were planning to book a half day but were encouraged due to the relatively small difference in price to do the full day. We would never have been able to do all that we did if we had not taken the private all day tour. Our driver/guide, Gonçalo, a young university student, was charming, knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs. The flexibility of this tour allowed us to visit both the park and palace of Pena and stroll through the gardens and historic buildings of Quinta da Regaleira, have lunch and shop in Sintra, see several other sites in Sintra from the car, with time to stop at the western tip of Portugal, see Hell's Mouth and the beautiful beach town of Cascais, topped off with a trip along the coast past the Vasco da Gama bridge and Belem. Gonçalo thought of everything and satisfied all our expectations and even unvoiced wishes. Absolutely top notch.
