The Museum of Jewish History

(Pass by)

They will visit the Jewish Quarter of Girona, one of the best preserved from the Middle Ages in Europe. Discover its beautiful corners and alleys. We did not enter the Jewish Museum, but this place deserves a deep explanation since it was one of the 3 Synagogues that Girona had in the Middle Ages.

Fully walled city in the middle ages. Today we have a kilometer of them left. We will see the different periods of its construction and we will climb one of its towers to see the city from its roofs.

Rambla de la Libertad

We will walk along this magnificent boulevard next to the Onyar River and its Bridges.

Eiffel Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles)

Designed by Gustave Eiffel, it is one of the treasures that will surprise you in Girona city.

Placa de la Independencia

One of the busiest squares in the Old Quarter of Girona. Famous for its arcades where you can find terraces of very lively bars and restaurants!

This was a great tour that gave an insight into the history of Girona. Our guide Júlia was an excellent guide who could answer all our questions of history and life today. We had a fantastic evening and chatted away over the great food that kept coming in. Júlia also explained the traditions and how the foods are made. We were very happy when Júlia showed us to a special restaurant for a nightcap, long after her workingday was over.

We had a wonderful walking tour. Our guide Monica Berta was friendly and knowledgeable. The walk was easy and rounded out with a tapas tasting and wine or beer at the end in a restaurant in the old city. We were a small group of six which I think gave us a really good experience, too. Great way to see Girona and get an understanding of the history.
