Very enjoyable and informative tour! I especially appreciated how Ronnie pointed out so many specific architectural features on the building facades. I learned a lot of new words and I'll really enjoy when I see them around Chicago and can name them myself!

Ronnie Frey is a wonderful tour guide with an amazing knowledge of architectural styles and historic detail. His friendly personality and love of Chicago neighborhoods makes you feel very comfortable. I learned a lot from him on this tour and will be doing more of Doorways of Chicago tours soon! Thanks, Ronnie!

Amazing tour! Ronnie’s passion for architecture comes through with not only the traditional tour details you’d expect, but personal anecdotes and humorous tidbits that you’re not going to find on mainstream tours that make the tour so memorable. Highly, highly recommended.

If you are interested in the history of Chicago and it's architecture I highly recommend taking a Tour with Doorways of Chicago. Ronnie is knowledgeable, friendly and loves to share. I loved learning new facts about places I have walked by for years. Such a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

This was a great tour full of charm and facts I had no idea about. Most of the workers cottages are ones I wouldn’t have noticed or appreciated before. It makes my walks around the neighborhood so much more interesting!

I only just discovered these tours after living in the neighborhood for 10 years. While I've admired a lot of these buildings myself before, Ronnie has great information that you'd never know by just looking at the outside. The tour was super informative plus he has a lot of neat anecdotes from doing this for years. We had a great time walking around our own neighborhood and learning new things about the buildings around us. We will definitely be taking his tours in other neighborhoods this fall.

Ronnie is a FABULOUS guide. Well researched and not only points out but also explain architectural details. Tells wonderful stories about the neighborhoods. Can’t rave enough about his tours. And I have been on many similar tours in different cities.
