Not as big as I thought it would be. Lines are very long, which you can be expected. Renting a cabana is very expensive. The experience at this water was not what I pictured.

For water parks I would say this is your usual run of the mill water park. Everything is totally spaced out- so be sure you are ready to walk. We rented loungers in the H20 which I would NOT recommend as it is the farthest area away from any rides or attractions. It was an honest waste of money as we NEVER even stayed there. Plenty of places to leave your things- so just get a locker and save the money. VERY expensive for everything - parking, tickets, food, drinks, etc. Overall my teenage kids had a good time and I guess thats what we do it for.

Was a nice day BUT wanted to rent a cabana for the day OMG was 442.89 for just a yard 10x10 tent roof no sides no extras just table and chairs. No wonder all but 3 were empty. Also 100 % cashless which I found annoying. Granddaughter wanted to buy something with her own money and was cheated out of that experience. 68.00 per ticket 30. Parking outrageous prices for food. You can not bring your own food or drink. Did have the best aqua coaster

The park was clean with plenty to do for elementary-aged children, adults, and a baby. There were shady places to rest or wait throughout. We went on a Thursday, and after quite a long line at the first water slide, decided to splurge for the Quick Queue, which we never did until this vacation. Many slides would've been fine without it and others didn't take it at all, but overall, if you're visiting from out of town and only have one day for the park, I suggest considering it.

You would think going on a Wednesday a few weeks before school it would not be crowded. WRONG. People everywhere with no respect yo snuone. Truth took 45 minutes to get inside, and we were there at 11 a.m., open 10.40. Parking was fine because we arrived early and had VIP. Getting inside was great. Then the horror begins. Waiting in line was a nightmare. Each ride was an hour, 15 yo an hr 45 minutes. It was because of the lines, but mostly people with hop pass. It doesn't matter if you are the next person in line. If people come with the hop pass ( quick queue), they go before you. WHAT... Yes. Standing in line for over an hr eith teenages and young kids and people come out of nowhere and go before you. Heck, no. It's very frustrating. The food wasn't good and can I say expensive. You will be paying a car payment for a group of 4. I know they will be expensive, but 8.00 for a Gatorade when I go to Dollar Tree, pay 1.25, or the grocery store have at least 3 for that price. Seating was horrible. There is not enough seating near the rides or shade. You are waiting for your loved ones and would like to take pictures of them but no or little (1bench) which you want to fight for and everyone had strollers with no babies in them or with them. We left at 5.30 park closed 6. Again arrived when the park opened. We only rode 5 rides stop to eat once. Babies played at 1 kiddie section. My point is.... Buy a quick queue so you and your family will have a better experience. Bring your own drinks, too.

Spent the money and rented a cabana for the day. We checked in right as the park opened, got some food, put it in the fridge, and went to the slides. Came back for lunch and found that the mini fridge wasn’t working the whole time. After telling the staff, it took a considerable amount of time to get it resolved - turns out the whole outlet wasn’t working in the cabana meaning we couldn’t charge our phones at lunch time either. We could have just used regular seats and not spent the money on the cabana.

Overpriced but fun. When we entered the park we were happy to have a smooth parking experience however the price is insane. The fact that we had To pay over $30 to park in the middle of nowhere made no sense and is an obvious money grab. When we got to the entrance of the park on a Saturday there was only one metal detector for every attendee. This caused a stovepipe and a damper on the fun. We rented a lounge chair and random people kept coming in the VIP area and just taking lounge chairs. It would take the attendant almost 30 minutes to notice. She would come back three flights of stairs and inform them they had to have a reservation. She had to deal with agitated customers because the signage is not very clear and they had already been there for almost thirty minutes. It was uncomfortable to witness and I almost felt unsafe due to the level of agitation with each varied response. This could be avoided by having the attendant sit at the entrance to the surfers bay VIP area and not at the top of the stairs. Why is there no attendant or bar for the VIP area? Also only two cabanas were used in the four hours we were there. It seems more money could be made if you lowered the price. We had to go up three flight of stairs every time we wanted to purchase a drink or entree. The food was ok but nothing really nice and tasty. For the prices they charge the park should hire a chef to give better tastier food options. The wavepool was awesome but why do the lifeguards have megaphones from 1910 to tell swimmers not to bring drinks into the wavepool? I think the lifeguard in front my my lounge chair lost her voice trying to scream. Overall the rides were great. I just refused to get in any line after noon because the lines were so long. We saw people skipping the lines who had not purchased to quick que. We may or may not come back but are more inclined to go to Virginia Beach for a better experience that is less than 1/3 a price. Btw the app does not show assessable entrance areas good luck trying to walk around surfers bay with the three sets of stairs!

Don't get the meal plan, you get an entree, snack or dessert & drink. It states that you can use it every 90 minutes, but the catch is you have to get a meal, a snack or dessert, you can't get a drink or a snack. If you want to have drinks you have to pay separately for it. One cashier told me that chips didn't count as a snack, only what was in the refrigerator, so I got the pretzels with dip, that wasn't allowed either, what!?. When I finally checked out, another cashier told that I could get chips, what!? It was very confusing, from now on I will just pay out of pocket for food & drinks.

Quick Queue is a scam. I spent $130 for each person for unlimited Quick Queue on 7/23/23. It clearly says on there "Priority Boarding." The Priority Boarding is the scam. Yes, you start out in the Quick Queue line and you think you are getting to the front of the line. But when you get to the top, the employees are told by the managers, at every ride, to allow a ratio of about 4-5 non Quick Queue customers through before 1 Quick Queue customer is allowed through. So basically, it takes 4-5x as long when you get to the top of the ride. We saw people in the regular line pass us. We inquired about it and the employees on the rides said this was what the manager told them to do -- keep this "ratio." I spoke to the manager, and he just kept avoiding the question. He said, "you have your own line." I said, "I understand, but the wristband doesn't say "Priority line only", it specifically says, and only says "Priority Boarding." In fact, we were punished by spending this extra money because we were forced to wait 4-5x as long for customers who didn't pay this fee to go first. I compared it to a first class flight. If they tell you have "Priority Boarding" but then tell you to wait and board last after everyone else, that's not "Priority Boarding." I'm happy to get what I pay for, and to not get what I didn't pay for. But I paid $129 a person for 3 people and we watched as those who didn't pay kept passing us in line. There was no point then -- Priority Boarding is a sham. The managers are college aged kids. Nice, but can't do much for you. The "contact us" phone number doesn't have an option on the phone tree to talk to anyone about your experience. The closest I could get to a human was to "buy a ticket" and that was a 90 minute wait for a person. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card. I'm not spoiled, I just want what I paid for, nothing more, nothing less. Having a "fast line" but "slowing the boarding process down by 80% at the top" is not "Priority Boarding." Just be honest, please, about what customers are paying for. For $129, this was a scam. I have a whole experience on video -- non Quick Queue (non priority boarding customers) being told by the ride manager to go in front of us. It took 5 minutes and 30 seconds to go from being "next in line" to "getting on the ride." When I spoke to the manager down below, another couple even came over and said, "The loading situation up there is completely ridiculous with these Quick Queue passes." I'd like a refund for the $400+ I spent for Priority Boarding but actually received the "opposite." And I would appreciate you really looking into this policy and changing it to match what you advertise correctly. Otherwise, it's just false advertising. I only come once a year to Water Country, so I tried to make it special for my son and little cousin by getting the Priority Boarding Quick Queue. We spent 5 hours there and rode 4 rides, simply because of this ridiculous "ratio" scheme put in place.

Park itself was fine. I am giving it a bad review because it seemed criminal the amount of money they charged for food. A couple of gross pizzas and a burger with three waters/juice cost $108 CAD. Are you kidding me? We could go to a nice steakhouse here for that much money. I might be able to overlook it if the food tasted decent, but the pizza was no better than something from the frozen section of the grocery store. And I was already annoyed at the $30 parking fee AND the $15 locker fee. Stop ripping people off!
