Our driver, Brian, was great and provided a lot of info on the way to our plantation tour at Whitney and our Swamp tour. The only lunch options are at Oak Alley visitor area - they are very basic so we just waited to get back to New Orleans. Whitney is very informative and doesn’t shy away from the hard facts of slavery. The stories are very sad but truthfully told. It was very informative and well done. The swamp tour was fun and our tour guide friendly. Wouldn’t need a repeat - but glad to cross it off the bucket list. When next we come back to New Orleans we will likely use Crescent City to visit Oak Alley to see something new.

Our tour guide BRIAN was an absolute 10 star! Filled with information and his laugh is contagious… we loved the plantation tour and the airboat ride was a once in a lifetime experience. Unfortunately, the communication prior to our tour was lacking. I sent three emails and nobody responded to me, was able to talk to a person regarding our pick up time. The tour starts at eight she said so be there at 7:30 or 745. We didn’t get picked up until 830 and we had to walk blocks to get to the pick up spot. So waiting that long wasn’t a thrill. If they iron that out we will give a 5 star

Our driver was a lovely informative woman. It would have been nice if she had a microphone headset because we couldn't all hear her. The plantation was beautiful and heartwrenching. We loved the Airboat ride. Cory was our guide. He was a true New Orlean's gem. His knowledge of the swamp animals, birds and veneration added that extra touch. He took time to show us the alligators and explain their behavior. Best event so far!

The plantation tour is exceptional, very informative, and provides an excellent history of slavery in general, and specifically in the area. The grounds are beautiful, and the memorials and monuments are very moving (even haunting). This experience is not to be missed. It is unlike most other plantation visits. The airboat swamp tour is just plain fun. You have several moments of rushing over water, grass, and mud at amazing speed. There are plenty of alligators, herons, and red wing blackbirds to see. We even glimpsed a feral hog. One alligator was part way into the boat to get fed some chicken by the guide. That’s about as up close and personal as you can get with an alligator. This is absolutely a really wonderful swamp experience.

Wonderful experience. Our driver Brian was hilarious and told a lot of good stories and gave great tips. We enjoyed the combo Whitney plantation and swamp tour. Swamp tour was our favorite. We stopped at Oak Alley for a quick lunch. The food at the cafe was average premade sandwiches. It’s too bad there isn’t a better location to grab quick food but the place they use to go has closed due to covid. It was nice being able to see oak alley also through the gate since we stopped here for food. If you want to pay the $20 entrance fee you could also run through the grounds (we only had 30 minutes to grab food). The swamp tour was the best. We chose the small airboat tour and it was worth it. We saw so many gators and our guide made the trip so much fun. Highly recommend this!

Great Experience! Whitney Plantation is amazing. We loved the self guided tour with handheld headsets for narration. Swamp Tour was a great follow up. There was a change to the lunch plan. We were supposed to stop at Oak Alley for deli sandwiches but we're then told there was a food truck at the swamp Tour. Then on the way we got a call that the food truck was closed so we stopped at a little cafe, which was pretty good. The drive from New Orleans to these tours is about an hour and in total takes about 7 hours. They need a more definite plan for lunch or travelers need to be prepared

The experience was horrible bc I selected the wrong date and viator nor the direct company would work with me to get some kind of refund since I was not in New Orleans at the time. Customer Servicw seems to no longer be a thing

An authentic telling of the horrors of slavery through Historic facts and old recordings of first hand experiences. This is a must for anyone exploring the real history of the USA.

Tour guide was great and didn't even catch his name. He was funny , lighthearted and very knowledgeable about the city. The plantation was filled with history and easy to use audio tour to learn the facts and history on your own. After a heavy heart filled visit, we ended the tour with a swamp tour and that was the best decision we made, cause it was fun , got to see many alligators, took photos "next" to them lol, and be outdoors in the beautiful weather we got to experience.

Crescent city tours (the ones operating this trip) are amazing. Go support them - They will show you a good time.
